Chamlija Viognier 2011 white wine. tasting notes: http://www.cellartracker.com/wine.asp?iWine=1415895&searchId=2AE27AC4%23selected%3DW1488308_1_K30d9c9ba0543eb6064bdbc7d954292e1 12/2/2012 - sarap tutkunlari wrote: 86 Points Dull yellow in colour. The reductive notes on the nose disappear in time and some fruit notes such as apricot, lime, lime peel, chalky mineral and floral notes do emerge, which accompanied by some distinct oak notes of vanilla and smoke. Medium bodied, oily texture with a sufficient concentration. The acidity starting as from the attack does dominate the wine until the finish and adds a crispness to it. The noticeable oak nuances on the palate together with some slight honey, fruits like apricot, peach and melon does not affect the freshness. Alcohol, slight bitterness and acidity do keep ahead at the finish without affecting it in a negative way but causing the aftertaste remain at medium length. Do you find this review helpful? The nose starts with intense citrus aromas. The oak stays far behind the front nose of the fruit and flower aromas. Vibrant Acidity on the palate.Very well balanced, oilly structure. The front nose of citrus and floral aromas perceived at the mid-palate and the finish. Then wine starts to expand in the mouth like a cone-shape,spreading to a wide range of typical aromas of Viognier : citrus, ripe apricot, peach, stone fruit flavors as well as honey. Very elegant and balanced with strong acidity and also powerfull . Lovely, fresh, long pleasant finish. Do you find this review helpful? The palate is extremly well balanced with good acidity against 15% alcohol. It stays true and almost amplifies its varietal character whilst maintaining great tension with subtle notes of nectarine, melon, orange and lemon . It blossoms in the mouth and has a wonderfully vibrant long finish. Do you find this review helpful? A hazy brass colour with golden highlights the wine neither reflects an opulence of aromas nor remains restrained but rather has an elegant array of citrus notes mainly as mandarin followed by apricot compote and a floral edge like honeysuckle. Just over a medium body without being honeyed displaying intense citrus fruit flavours and a surprising raciness that lingers through the long finish where the bitter side and the heat comes forward.
