Offering 200 associate degree and certificate p rograms, VU also offers bachelor degrees in select programs such as technology, nursing, homeland security, and three secondary education programs.

VU’s statewide enrollment is more than 19,000, with the Vincennes Campus attracting students from throughout Indiana, 28 states, and 22 countries. Tuition and fees are the most affordable among all Indiana campuses with residence halls.

Page 11: Vincennes/Knox County Visitor's Guide

9

VU’s modern campus features the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center, recognized as one of the top 25 “Most Amazing University Performing Arts Centers,” according to BestValueSchools.com. The Center’s namesake, Red Skelton, a Vincennes native, was a renowned performer on radio, television, and movies. Adjacent to the Center is the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy, one of the most popular visitor sites in the community.

Within a short stroll from campus are sites where American history was made. Visitors are encouraged to tour the home of U.S. President William Henry Harrison, the Indiana Territory Capitol, and a replica of Jefferson Academy, VU’s predecessor. Continue further along the Vincennes riverfront and you may visit the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park and adjacent sites, such as the Indiana Military Museum.

From a frontier college to today’s trailblazer in technology, VU prepares graduates for exciting opportunities in fast-growing and diverse career fields.
