From the Board . . . Park & Ramada Maintenance – Randy Brenckman. The watering system for the east side of the Ramada was disconnected due to leaks, thus the grass died. Thanks to the Grandestaffs for donating gravel, installed by Randy and the Grandestaffs' grandson. Randy and Kim added potted plants to the patio.

Pool & Spa - Bill Mucci. Pool decking needs repair; Bill is getting bids. The Board discussed best time to repair decking, since pool must be closed. Bill also reported that the pool gas heaters are now turned on.

Landscape Planning – Randy Brenckman. Looking for 2 or 3 boulders to add to the restroom side of the Ramada. If you have boulders to donate, please contact Randy Brenckman.

Compliance – Bev Tyson If you see that a neighbor is not complying with the HOA rules, call Beverly Tyson of the Compliance Committee. She will handle issues professionally and quickly.

Fran Oberst, Helen Maher, and Ruthie Mathis shared holiday past celebrations: their catered dinner parties at the Ramada. Everyone dressed up—it was much more formal then than today. Bob Maher on piano and Bob Plum on sax and clarinet entertained. They also had dinners at various restaurants around town—including Busters on the Lake, the Chart House, and Arizona Country Club, among others. Just as today, the tradition of decorating light poles was encouraged. Helen shared that she and Bob would have Holiday open house and invite neighbors walking by in for wine, food, and music.

Thank you to all who attended the 2017 Holiday Dinner. It was wonderful to see friends and neighbors enjoying conversations and in some cases welcoming back friends we have missed for a while.
