Clothes
Vikings wore lots of layers to keep out the cold.
Women wore a long dress made of linen or wool with a woollen over-dress.
Men wore wool tunics over linen undershirts and woollen trousers.
Viking men and women liked bright colours and patterns.

Clothes
Furs, fleeces and feathers also helped Vikings keep warm.
Favourite Vikings clothing colours were red and green.

Jewellery
Rings showed Vikings wealth and bravery. Viking craftworkers used designs from
many different lands to create beautiful jewellery.

Brooches held Viking clothes in place. Men wore big brooches pinned on their
right shoulder. Women wore pairs of brooches-one on
each shoulder.
