Vigilance Awareness Week Celebrations-2021
Theme: Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity
The vigilance awareness week is observed in order to encourage all stakeholders to
collectively participate in the prevention and the fight against corruption and to raise public
awareness regarding the existence, causes and the threat posed by corruption.
Every year at Vignan University we celebrate Vigilance Awareness Week to promote values
like integrity, honesty, transparency and commitment not only among the students but also
among the staff and proclaim it’s importance by organizing various competitions and events
with an aim to make India corruption free.
The 2021 Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from 26 October to 1 November,
2021 with the theme “Independent India at 75: Self Reliance with Integrity”. This year
Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated in association with UCO Bank, Vadlamudi Branch.
On 30-October-2021, UCO bank officials visited VFSTR to spread awareness among
students to make India corruption free.
The programme began with administration of pledge to make India corruption free.
Mr. Suresh Parimi, AGM, UCO Bank Guntur Branch, was invited as chief guest. He
interacted with the students and advised how they should be vigilant when they are using
internet for financial transactions especially with increasing cyber security challenges.
Dr. L. Praveen Kumar, Director VIL, VFSTR, was invited as guest of honour. He gave a
broad overview of various legal provisions that are there in India to fight corruption.
On this occasion, security and vigilance officers of VFSTR, Shri. N. Rama Raoand Shri. K.
Srinivasa Rao also interacted with students and cautioned them on various financial frauds
that are taking place using latest mobile technology, Ponzi schemes etc. They advised
students not to fall prey for such mobile apps and schemes.
Ms. Mohammed Sabeeha (III Year Biotechnology) Mr. V. Vinay,(III Year EEE) and Ms. S.
Pavani Priya (III Year Biotechnology) hosted the programme.

Vigilance Awareness week 2021 was observed in Vignan’s Foundation for
Science, Technology and Research (Deemed to be University) from 26
November in its true spirit and sense with the theme “ Self Reliance with Integrity.”.
The more emphasis is on dissemination the awareness in society to be honest in all
sections of our society. In line with the letter and spirit of the theme and in accordance
with the directives of CVC, several activities were organized covering a wide
spectrum of society, with the aim of spreading awareness and sensitizing the public
about Anti corruption.
“Awareness Gram Sabha” - VFSTR
In view of this VFSTR Organized Vigilance Awareness Week in Z.P High School Sangam
jarglamudi on “Awareness Gram Sabhas”. The guests were Sarpanch
Head Master – Sri Siva ram Krishna and School Management Committee (SMC) Chairman
Smt. Shaik Nageena. The program was supervised by Dean Library& ITS ,
Programme Officer and NSS Coordinator
and students of the school took the
“Awareness Gram Sabha” - VFSTR-UEAC camp at
Sangam Jagarlamudi
