This year’s USJF National Kata Conference will be held in Boise, Idaho. The conference will be held at Cole Valley Christian High School Gymnasium, 200 East Carlton Ave. Meridian, Idaho 83642.

The clinic will feature kata instruction from Eiko Shepherd, 7th Dan from St. Louis, MO and Douglas Tono, 7th Dan from Chicago, IL. Both clinicians bring a wealth of national and international experience and certifications.

The United States Judo Federation (USJF) Kata Development Committee and Intermountain Yudanshakai proudly welcome the following nationally recognized experts:

Eiko Shepherd 7th Dan

USA International Coach, USA World Master Level Instructor, USA Kata Judge (National Class A), USJF Kata Chairperson - Kata Development National Youth Kata Coordinator, Certified Class A-All 7 Kata, Former Shiai Competitor, Head Instructor of Ki To Kan Judo Club, Originally from the Kodokan in Tokyo, Japan.

The conference will include instruction, as time permits, in all 7 kata including testing and certification options. Youth ages 10-16 are encouraged to participate and will be given a reduced rate for all 3 days of the clinic. Please

A complementary shuttle bus is available from Boise International Airport to the hotel from 7:00 am – 10:00 pm.

Eligibility: *Current members of USJF, USA Judo, and USJA. *Card must be shown at the event.

Details: *Conference begins Friday morning, June 19th. * Participants will receive a USJF participation certificate for attendance. * USJF registered participants who test for kata certification and meet the necessary requirements will receive a USJF Kata Certification Certificate. * USA Judo registered participants who test for kata certification and meet the necessary requirements will receive a USA Judo Certification Certificate. * Registered participants who are testing must bring their own equipment.

No youth discount for multiple days.
