Movement and Support Bones : Bones that help us walk, touch, turn and stand
o Examples: Femur, Humorous, Tibia, Fibula, Radius, Ulna
Joints: The place where two bones come together
Hinge : Ball-and-socket : Gliding :
Muscular System:All of the muscles in your body that allow you to move, run and jump
Muscles: Tissue that contracts and expands to let you body move Contract: To get smaller
Bones: A hard material that is made of mostly calcium that makes up the skeleton.

Key Concepts: Without bones, our bodies would not hold their shape Dogs and cats have skeletal systems that are a lot like people One good way to measure how long your bones are getting is to use a meter
stick Muscles are strong and move the bones when we walk or run
**Also, study the Skeleton Diagram on the back. Be sure to know the important labels for bones.
