For any external students, upon receiving an application, the Post 16 office will contact you to arrange a formal discussion to which your parents/carers will also be invited in order to go through your subject application; it is not a selection interview. Please make sure all information on this form is correct and sign overleaf.

All A Level subjects are now linear 2 year A Levels. This means that all exams for this subject will be held in the summer term of 2019. This also means that once you enrol at the start of year 12, you are committed to study with us until the end of year 13 on your 3 courses.

All BTEC and CTEC courses have also undergone recent changes, whereby alongside the coursework units, they will additionally have written examination units contributing towards the overall grade. Students taking a BTEC course will finish year 13 with an Extended Certificate, which is equivalent to 1 A Level.

If you do not meet the entry requirements for pathway 2, you will not be able to enrol into Post 16 at Cecil Jones.* Any vocational courses you would like considered as part of your entry must be graded at Merit or higher.

Please be aware that while it is our intention to run all courses offered within our prospectus, courses may not be viable if not enough interest is shown in them. We will endeavour to notify students and parents/carers of any changes to the curriculum offer at the earliest opportunity.

Additionally, some subjects may need to change exam boards or qualification type as new curriculum content is published; please discuss this with the course leader.

We endeavour to provide a curriculum suitable to all students, but unfortunately there will be some subjects that we do not offer. If this is the case, please note the issues below so that we can look into this for you.
