Department of Counseling and Human Development College Student Personnel Clinical Mental Health Counseling Counseling Psychology Art Therapy School Counseling Educational Psychology, Measurement and Evaluation Vital Statistics Report August 2017 The University of Louisville is a public institution that houses the nationally accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) and School Counseling (SC) programs in the Department of Counseling and Human Development in the College of Education and Human Development. Accredited under the 2009 Standards from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), the CMHC program is 60 hours and prepares students for licensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of Kentucky. The SC program is 48 hours and prepares students for certification as a School Counselor in Kentucky. There are 19 students are enrolled in the CMHC program for AY 2016-17. Vital Statistics Report August 2017

The University of Louisville is a public institution that houses the nationally accredited

Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) and School Counseling (SC) programs in the

Department of Counseling and Human Development in the College of Education and Human

Development. Accredited under the 2009 Standards from the Council for Accreditation of

Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), the CMHC program is 60 hours and

prepares students for licensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of Kentucky. The SC

program is 48 hours and prepares students for certification as a School Counselor in Kentucky.

There are 19 students are enrolled in the CMHC program for AY 2016-17. The CMHC

program had ten graduates at the end of AY 2016-17, and all of the graduates completed the

program in the expected time period; 90% of the students pass the licensure exam; and 100%

found employment related to the master’s degree. The SC program had 29 students enrolled. All

seven of the graduates for AY 2016-17 completed the program in the expected time period, and

90% found employment related to the master’s degree.

Approximately 27% of the students seeking the M.Ed. in CMHC or SC are from diverse

backgrounds. Table 1 provides the student demographics.

The Counselor Education faculty includes five core program faculty and 15 faculty

within the department. Table 2 presents the demographic information of the core program

faculty.
