Directions for Using Rourke’s E-booksand Interactive E-Books

1.) Go to the District Web page—www.hcisd.org 2.) Click on the Tab that says For Students--

3.) You will now see this screen—Find Virtual LibraryClick on the tab that says click here--

7.) To log onto the e-books section, or the interactive section, click on the word Books or click on the word Interactive eBooksThe username is wilsonhgn, the password is aztecsYou should see this screen--

or this screen—it depends on which one you click onThe username and password is the same for both.

8.) Type in the username—wilsonhgn, the password is—aztecs. Click on the sign-in button (green button).

9.) You should now see this screen, There are several ways to search, either by subject, or by typing in whatever you are looking for--

10.) Let’s try by subject—I clicked on the down arrow and selected High Interest—click on the search button--

11.) You should now see this screen—Click on open book—and wait for it to load.

12.) Click on open book again—and now you may begin reading.

13.) Once you are finished, please remember to sign out.

14.) If you want to log on to Interactive eBooks, the directions are the same and the username/password is the same for both.

15.) In the Interactive Books, the child can hear the story either in Spanish or English.
