If youre looking for an amazing, supportive College experience, youll find it at Loyalist where our students come first.
In our friendly, close-knit campus community, we provide personalized attention in small classes, rewarding field placements and access to a wide array of student success services. Located on 212 acres in the beautiful Bay of Quinte region, Loyalist is a world apart, yet minutes from the 401, between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Nearby is everything from pristine provincial parks and sand beaches to historic sites and local arts and entertainment. Youll have a chance to enjoy nature and all the activities our area has to offer.

first generation servicesFirst Generation services are available to those students whose parents or guardians did not attend a post-secondary institution. Our First Generation Advisor supports students through the challenges that First Generation students may encounter while transitioning to College. peer tutoring and academic skills centreThe Peer Tutoring and Academic Skills Centre offers sessions to enhance academic success in a positive and supportive environment that engages students and promotes learning independence. Tutors are available for one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions on a drop-in basis or by appointment. For more information, please call 613-969-1913 ext. 2163.
student success mentorsThe goal of the Student Success Mentors is to ensure each student has the opportunity to be successful by encouraging students to access the academic supports available on campus. Useful seminars are offered on learning skills, time management, career development, and taking the stress out of the transition to College, both for recent high school grads and for adults returning to school. academic centre for testing (act)ACT provides a comfortable, professional and secure testing environment for Loyalist students as well as candidates writing exams and tests for other agencies and institutions. We provide testing services to fit the needs of all our client groups, including those with documented disabilities. ACT can accommodate traditional pen-and-paper tests as well as electronic, online tests. For more information, please call 613-969-1913 ext. 2549.
counselling and mind and Wellness servicesCollege life isnt always easy Thats why Counselling and Mind and Wellness Services are confidential and free for all Loyalist students. Professional counsellors are available to assist students with educational concerns or personal issues. We can also assist with referrals to community agencies. Our Mind and Wellness

aboriginal resource centre Native students at Loyalist are supported in realizing their full academic and personal potential, and encouraged to express and develop their Native identity through cultural activities and workshops in a friendly environment. The Aboriginal Resource Centre acts as a liaison between College administration, Native communities and government agencies. accessability centreSupports and accommodations are available for students with disabilities, which may include learning, deaf, hard of hearing, blind, low vision, mobility, ASD/Aspergers, ADD/ADHD, mental health, medical and brain injury. The AccessAbility Centre is here to help. We evaluate each case individually to develop an individualized service plan. Early self-identification is essential. We require documentation verified by a health care professional, identifying the nature of the disability and the recommended support services. international centreWe understand that starting College can be a big adjustment; starting in a new country is an even bigger one! The International Centre is here to help you adapt to College life socially, academically and culturally with welcome programs and assistance with housing and health insurance. We have terrific group outings and celebrations throughout the school year. International students and students who are new to Canada are valued members of the Loyalist community. digital media centreThis state-of-the-art Digital Media Centre opened its doors in September 2013. The 10,000-square-foot integrated newsroom features video editing suites, television studio, interview booths, audio production booths and meeting rooms. Several programs in the School of Media, Arts + Design use the newsrooms facilities to create content across multiple platforms including reporting, writing, sharing photographs, hosting programs and producing web, social media and video and audio material.
