Day 1: Hanoi – Quang Binh. 08.00: You will be met up with Lotussia Travel team at your hotel in Hanoi and transferred to Quang Binh town, Ha Giang province. We will make several stops en route for visiting local villages of the Tay ethnic group. We arrive in Quang Binh town at about 5.00 pm. Check into a local guesthouse for dinner and overnight. Day 2: Quang Binh - Tan Nam. We will check out at 08.30 am. Enjoy 15 minute drive to the starting point of the trekking trail. We take an easy walk through valley and terraced rice paddies. After about two hours hike, we arrive a village of Pa Then ethnic peoples. Visit the village and then have lunch. In the afternoon, we continue trekking up and downhill, through plantation, rice paddies, especially the palm forest of hilly land of the Tan Nam commune. We will hike through some hamlets of the Black Dzao and larger villages of the hospitable Nung ethnic peoples. We arrive in the center of Tan Nam at about 5.00 pm. We may have a short walk around this beautiful village before checking into a local house for dinner and overnight. Day 3: Tan Nam - Phieng Lang. After breakfast at home-stay, we will depart at 8:30. The trek is easy as we go on large village path running from village to villages of the Zao Ao Dai (Dzao with long dress), Tay and Nung ethnic peoples. All these village are beautifully set along the Nam Ly River. It will be possible for us to visit many local houses along the way. All the local villagers are friendly and open-minded. In the afternoon, we will trek uphill to Phieng Lang is mainly inhabited by the Dzao Ao Dai peoples and several Flower H’mong. Both ethnic groups traditionally and practically build their homes on hill tops and cultivate the surrounding land to create perfect dwelling. We arrive in Phieng Lang in mid afternoon. We may have a short walk to explore the surrounding nature before checking into a local house for dinner and overnight. Day 4: Phieng Lang – Pa Duc – Quant Thuong – Nam Choong. After breakfast, we will say goodbye to our hosts at about 08.30 am. Enjoy another day walking along the beautiful Nam Ly valley. We will hike on a good trail which winds up and down on high hill sides. We trek uphill for the whole morning until we arrive Quang Thuong. Very different from the Nung and Tay, who live in large villages at low land, the H’mong and the Zao Ao Dai occupy the higher land and built their houses scattering on hill-tops. This trekking portion offers one of the most beautiful sceneries in the far north.

We will have lunch before we descend a narrow trail passing through tea farms and steep terraced paddies. After about 2 hours, we arrive the Nam Chong village of the Dzao Ao Dai. Explore the village and settle down in a local house for dinner and overnight. Day 5: Nam Chong - Quang Nguyen – Coc Cang – Coc Dong. We star the day by trekking on a narrow trail along the Nam Ly River. After about an hour, we arrive in the center of Quang Nguyen Commune. Upon our arrival in the village, we will take a tough trail going uphill. We hike through villages of the Nung and Red Zao and Zao Ao Dai. Lunch will be provided in a local village en route. After lunch, we will be ready for the most challenging part of the tour – We will trek over the Nhin Co San mountain. The trail become narrow and very tough as we hike through the thick rain forest and bamboo forest. After about three hours, we will arrive in Coc Cang village. We continue our hike along the same trail for 1,5 hours. We walk by some hamlets of the White H’mong to Coc Dong Village of the Nung peoples. Check into a local house for dinner and overnight. Day 6: Coc Dong - Coc Re - Coc Pai. A beautiful day of itinerary by following the local's way that lines at mid-mountain, along multiform paddies field and offer an agreeable landscape. Meeting in the way with ''H'Mong flower'' girl who are very beautiful in charming dress with the red color dominating then, some soft up and down trail before descending continuously to Coc Re. The long descend is under the shadow of a newly planted forest with interesting sound of the fauna and flora. Lunch in local restaurant in Coc Re market. The trek continues some more hours towards Coc Pai, a small mountainous town. Overnight in guesthouse. Day 7: Coc Pai - Bac Ha. A slight walk around Coc Pai before transferring to Bac Ha by 4 x 4 vehicle. Arrival at Bac Ha by noon. Bac Ha is situated in the highlands and is mostly populated by the beautifully dressed Flower. After noon is highlighted with 2 hours walk to explore the famus Ban Pho Valley which is home to the Flower H’mong and Tay ethnic. Paying visiting to local homes and enjoy watching peoples making the well-known spirit from corn as well as a traditional dance with the Khen - a traditional musical instrument composed by 6 bamboo pipes.

Day 8: Bac Ha - Coc Ly - Lao Cai - Train to Hanoi. Continuation of the trip to Trung Do, a beautiful village inhabited by Tay people with its green rice terraces. Upon arrival at chay River's bank, embarkation on sampan for a upstream cruise to Coc Ly village where visitors enjoy the weekly multi-ethnic market held on every Tuesdays evening, an ideal place to meet local people. Ethnic groups from every part of the region come here to exchange their agricultural and handicraft products. Transfer to Lao Cai, visit to the border gate between Vietnam and China.
