The purpose of this meeting is to discuss Vidor Independent School District's rating onthe State's Financial Accountability System for the 2007-2008 School Year - theDistrict's rating is Superior Achievement (scored 85 points out of 85). There were noPatrons present.

Mrs. Wojtowich- Presentationof RedRibbonsto the Boardand Administrationfor RedRibbon Week (October 26-30, 2009) by the following BBADD Students: Ms. NicoleTucker, Ms. Danielle Tucker, Ms. Katarina Parrish, Ms. Olivia M. Winn, Ms. JaneCooper and Ms. Taylor VanDevender. Ms. VanDevender spoke for the BBADDOrganization stating what would be going on this next week at the Vidor High School.Mrs. Beth Cooper (Vidor High School Teacher) is the Sponsor for the BBADDOrganization. This Organization is very active in providing a substance free environmentat Vidor High School. Congratulations and Good Luck!

Ms. Janet Bradley, Principal of the AIM Center High School, received a letter from PVTNicholas (Chase) Odom, who is currently serving in Charlie Company 2-19 Infantry inFort Benning, Georgia. Chase graduated last year and immediately enlisted in the USArmy and his letter is letting the AIM Center Administration and Staff know how muchhe appreciated each and everyone of them.

Motion by Mr. Camp, seconded by Mr. Burr, to accept the bids for the New CafeteriaAddition at Pine Forest Elementary School and award the low bid to Bruce's GeneralConstruction with a bid of $800,000.00. Those Voting For: Mrs. Sarver, Mr. Camp, Mr.Kilmer, Mr. Burr, Mr. Byerly, Mr. Harland. Those Abstaining: Mr. Rainbolt. ThoseAbsent: None. Those Voting Against: None.MOTION CARRIED
