How to configure your systemBeforeyoucanstartusingyourvideoconferencesystemyoumustsetthebasicconfigurationsasdescribedinthischapter.

Using a provisioning system, or configuring each video conference system individually

Provisioningallowsvideoconferencingnetworkadministratorstomanagemanyvideosystemssimultaneously.ingeneral,youonlyhavetoputinthecredentialsoftheprovisioningservertoeachvideosystem;therestoftheconfigurationisdoneautomatically.

Withoutaprovisioningsystem,youmustconfigureeachvideosystemindividually.Asaminimum,youmustsettheiPandSiP/H.323parameters.Youshouldalsosetthecorrecttimeanddate.

Basicconfigurationwithorwithoutaprovisioningsystemisdescribedintheremainderofthischapter.

Different user interfaces

Wedescribehowtoconfigurethevideosystemusingthetouchcontroller,theremotecontrolorthewebinterface.

About user roles, user accounts and passwords

System/codec password

YouneedAdMiNrightstoconfigurethesystemviaweb.

User roles: Ausermustpossessoneoracombinationofseveraluserroles.threeuserrolesexist,representingdiffer-entrights:AdMiN,uSerandAudit.itisimportanttonotethattheseroleshavenon-overlappingrights.

Acompleteadministratoruseraccountwithfullaccessrights,likethedefaultadminuser,mustpossessallthreeroles.

Youcanreadmoreonhowtocreateandmanageuseraccountsintheadministratorguideforyourproduct.

NoTe:initially,nopasswordissetforthedefaultadminuser.Westronglyrecommendthatyousetapasswordforthisuser,andanyotheruserspossessinganAdMiNrole,torestrictaccesstosystemconfiguration.

YourvideoconferencesystemsupportsbothiPversion4(iPv4)andiPversion6(iPv6).inbothcases,theiPparam-eterscanbeassignedautomaticallybythenetwork,oryoucanseteverythingmanually.

ifyouwanttosettheparametersmanually,pleasecontactyournetworkadministratortoobtaintherequiredparameters.

ifyoursystemisprovisionedautomatically,theseiPsettingsmaybeoverriddenbytheprovisioningsystem.

ifaniPv4oriPv6addressisalreadyassignedtothesystem,youwillfinditintheNetWorksectionontheSysteminformationpage:

tap Settings ( ) > System Information.

To set or change the IPv4 settings

1. Choose IP version

tapSettings ( ) > Administrator > IP & VLAN.thentapIPv4intheIP Versionsection.

2. Choose automatic or manual IP assignment

tapDHCPintheIP Assignment sectionifyouwantautomaticiPassignment;orStaticifyouwanttosettheiPaddressesmanually.

3. If IP Assignment is Static: Set the IP addresses

entertheIP Address,Subnet Mask,Gateway,andDNS Serveraddress.Asoftkeyboardappearswhenyoutapaninputfield.

4. Save the settings

tapSavetosavethechanges,orUndotoleavewithoutsaving.

5. Return to the main menu
