Location – Grave Yard

Bars – the bars on the windows at the top of the church

Church depicting the place where his soul is trapped.

Fire -

Burnt pile of wood showing how the “fire” is not being allowed to burn. His life is dead.

Shackles – the grave is holding him down under the ground.

Grave is a metaphorical cell, showing how he is trapped in death.

Free – the way to get in and out of the church

Walk way to the church shows how he is being led to his death. Could show shots of him half way there showing whether or not he will ever be let free. At the end he goes through the doors, showing he will not be free.

Guard –

The guard is “God” as such. The light through the trees can give off an effect which can be depicted as God. This will show how it is God’s decision whether he lives or dies.

When the Lyrics mention “opening my brain” flashes of one of the band members dressed as a surgeon will appear, as if the vocalist is having surgery to dechipher whether he lives or survives

When the band play together, this shot would be good, as the variety of colours and different textures show depth. Also the dead parts of the tree reflect how he is dead.

The opening shot for this video would consist of the vocalist sitting on the bench between the church and the church gate, like he is half way between life and death.

The rest of the band will be shown as either mourning or as a surgeon.

The band will dressed in black clothing, however the vocalist will be dressed in brighter clothes to depict how he is not in the same world as the other band members.

The end scene will compromise of the vocalist sitting beside a grave shouting “set free”.

Using effects I will make it seem as if he is disintegrating into death.

The end shot will be of the whole band ending the song in a melancholy manner, also showing how they don’t want to end the song.

The video will portray the vocalists thoughts and flashes of images of what he sees and how he feels.

The video will be heavily cut, to show the anxiety.
