between Asia-Pacific (47%), North America
(26%) and Europe (16.9%).

These realities are a technology based on the creation of an
immersive environment, that supplements real-life views, with
computer-generated sensory input as images or sounds. Spain has
the highest percentage of consumers with purchase intention
and Barcelona has the strongest video game ecosystem,
technological centres and important international conferences.
5. Virtual and Augmented Reality
eSports is a competitive gaming at a professional level and in an
organized format with a clear distinction between players and teams
that are competing on level playing field. In Spain, the previsions
foresee a growth of 27.1% CAGR (16.2 M€ forecast) until 2022.
Barcelona has already hosted international eSports competitions,
having dedicated TV channels and professional eSports clubs.

Game porting is the term used when a video game designed to run
on one platform is converted to run on a different platform. Barcelona
has a high availability of talented software developers at a

Serious games are a new form of learning used for training in
