2. People who play games compulsively and avoid other responsibilities are video game addicts.

Video game addiction is not an addiction thatis recognized in the Diagnostic and StatisticalManual of Mental Disorders, however, it sharesmany of the symptoms of other addictions and is arising concern.

• Professional help may be needed
