• Its promoting women to buy a new bra where it would make a women love her body more• Promotes three types of their famous bra’s: Racerback, Push-up, and the Multi-way• The advertisement does not just promote the bra’s, but it also promotes contradiction and body types
VALUES
• Once purchased, it makes the women feel good about her body
• Pushup bra- pushes and pads the breast of a women to seem like they are a bigger cup than they really are
• Racerback bra- you can’t see the straps and make them into a different shape/similar to a sports bra but padded
• Multiway bra-strapless pushup bra
• The bra pushes up the girls breast to make them feel better about themselves and their bodies-contradicting
IDEALS
• Shows what every women wants to look like if they could• Photo shopped and retouched• Gives the young women looking at these advertisements
motivation to become like the models• No model really looks like the girl in the picture
CONCEPTS/BELIEFS
• Ad is supposed to be promoting a bra but it promotes more their bodies than the actual product
• Targets women from ages 18-49, but nowadays it also attacks young girls at the age of 11-17
• Manipulates women to thinking they can look like the models they photo shop
• Gives a negative message to women without them even knowing
• Leads to eating disorders for women such as anorexia, bulimia, etc.
• If the women love their bodies, then why do they need to push-up their breasts-doesn’t make sense
