Australia, Home to over 900 Native Bird Species

To enable native birds to be traded at sales we need permission from the Secretary of DELWP. An

amnesty is provided to licence holders to allow them to take their licensed birds and relevant permit

material to the venue on the sale date.

Globally there are over 10000 Exotic Birds Species

•Exotic Birds •(Non Native / Foreign)

•Have been sold successfully at birds sales for over 30 years.

• In May 2015 advised non native birds could not be sold at bird sales in Victoria.

•VAC have been working to resolve these issues withDr Mariko Lauber, Manager Domestic Animals (DEDJTR)
