Syntron® Vibrating ConveyorsWhen it comes to conveying, the goal is clear: maximum speedwith minimal product degradation.
Syntron conveyors from FMC Technologies can take you there. No matterthe material — metal, glass, wood products, and chemicals — FMCTechnologies can provide an efficient and effective conveying solutionsystem for your process.
The technology behind Syntron vibrating conveyors is based on a combination of natural frequency and positive drive action that results inlow operating power requirements with minimum stress on drive compo-nents. The positive action eccentric drive ensures constant amplitudeunder most operating conditions.
In addition, Syntron positive action drives provide uniform product flowas process demands change. This feature eliminates the need for precise, continual drive speed adjustment.
Syntron Vibrating conveyors are rugged, compact and easy to install andmaintain. Their natural, gentle conveying action makes these units idealfor handling a wide range of free-flowing bulk materials, including hot, abrasive, fine, dusty, lumpy, stringy and other difficult-to-handle products.
Because no single conveyor system is suitable for all applications, FMCTechnologies manufactures two types of vibrating conveyors — theFlexmount conveyor and the Coilmount conveyor. These two modelscover most capacities and weight requirements for efficient, economical, industrial conveying applications. Base-mounted, non-isolated Flexmountand Coilmount conveyors must be mounted on a concrete foundation atgrade level that is suitable to withstand the dynamic loads exerted. Pleasecontact FMC Technologies to confirm actual recommended foundationrequirements.

Features and Benefits include:
l Flexibility - Syntron vibrating conveyors are suitable for most applicationsoperating conditions and arrangements —short or long runs, wide variety ofmaterials. Single or multiple discharge points provide steady, even flow.
l Gentle Handling - allows the handling of thin, brittle castings with minimumdegradation of fragile materials.
l Low Maintenance - only the drive requires lubrication. Low operating power requirements. Fewer moving parts result in less maintenance.
l Positive Drive - maintains conveying action even under operating surge loadconditions.
l Designed to last - rugged construction to withstand demanding industrialenvironments and applications, even when sharp, abrasive materials areconveyed.

One of three chutes under shears in a chassis shop, discharging steelstrips to Flexmount conveyors. Sloping baffle at discharge end of theconveyor directs scrap to chopper.
A 12-inch wide by 48-foot longFlexmount conveyor handling 6 TPHof spill sand. Grating and collectinghopper above collects spill sandfrom molding operation.
Designed for light to medium capacity applications (up to 35 tph), these compact units are simple in construction, but are remarkablyrugged and compact. Flexmountconveyors feature a positive action drivethat provides the additional energy neededto handle varying loads beyond the natural frequency range of the conveyor. This enables the Flexmount conveyor to maintain a constant strokewhether loaded or empty. These conveyors are ideal for material handlingapplications in the chemical, forest products, metal cleaning and food processing industries.
Standard troughs for the Flexmount conveyor are 10 gauge mild steel construction with widths ranging from 8 to 48-inches. The troughs arealso available in stainless steel. In addition, flanged troughs can be madeof special materials. A variety of liner materials are available for handlingcorrosive or abrasive materials. Dust-tight or weather-tight models areavailable. The troughs are easily adaptable to collect materials from severalinfeed points and distribute materials through multiple intermediate gates.
Flexmount conveyors install quickly and easily on concrete foundations or structures and require minimum maintenance.

Flexmount positive driveThe Flexmount conveyor’s positivedrive system has heavy-dutyspherical roller bearings, a caststeel connecting arm and a rubber-bushed or bronze wrist pin assembly, which is securely locked to theconveyor pan with taper lockbushings. This drive system main-tains positive action regardless ofload conditions. Drives are posi-tioned either at the conveyor feedend (end drive) or along the con-veyor length (intermediate drive).
For the intermediate drive, themotor and motor supports areindependent of the conveyor baseand can be purchased with theunit. Motors for intermediatedrives can be mounted on eitherthe left hand or right hand side ofthe conveyor.

The fiberglass leafsprings are arranged in single, doubleor triple configurations based on thelength and width of the conveyor.
