SCOUT BADGEWORK PROGRAMSVertical Endeavors offers indoor climbing events, badgework programs, and outdoor climbing adventures for

Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. An indoor climbing event is a two-hour program including an instructor and basic gear for the troop.

requirements. Badge requirements include belaying, rappelling, knot tying, rope management, and other general safety requirements.

Girl Scout Badgework Program is a four-hour class for Juniors covering materials required to fulfill parts of the Sports Sampler and Adventure Sports. The program for Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts is a five-hour class in which the girls will work on the High Adventure Interest Project Patch.

Vertical Endeavors-Duluth is located in Adventure Zone in historic Canal Park, VE is the North Shore’s largest climbing facility, offering 14,000 square feet of climbing surface to make it one of the best-rounded facilities in the Midwest. Climbers can test their skills on walls up to 42 feet high on three different types of climbing walls, cracks mimicking those along the coast, and a “hand-carved” cliff with a lighthouse. Scattered throughout the facility are 30 top-ropes, lead climbing, 12 Auto Belays, and a large bouldering cave.

Vertical Endeavors-Minneapolis offers numerous top-rop climbs, Auto Belays, three bouldering areas, cracks, and sport lead climbing. This facility, built in one of the last remaining historic Ice House buildings, has approximately 28,000 sqare feet of climbing surface with 50-to-60 foot tall climbing walls, making it one of the biggest and tallest climbing facilities in the country.

Vertical Endeavors-St. Paul has over 18,200 square feet of climbing surface with over 60 top-rope climbs, numerous Auto Belays, two bouldering areas, cracks, arches, and sport lead climbing. The overhanging arch is the main feature at 36 feet tall and 48 feet long. Numerous sport lead lines will keep even the most advanced climbers challenged. In addition, our 12-foot high bouldering cave has over 3,600 square feet of climbing surface to climb on!

Complete pro shops at each facility offers gear to help keep things affordable and convenient.
