Eukaryote
Vertebrates are eukaryotic because they
have complex structures in a
membrane.
Multicellular
Vertebrates are multicellular because
they contain more than one cell.
Heterotrophic
Vertebrates are unable to make their
own food and must obtain their energy
from eating other organism.
No Cell Wall
Vertebrates do not have a cell wall
because only plants, bacteria, fungi,
algae, and some archaea have cell
walls.
Spinal Cords
Vertebrates have a backbone and a
notochord to give the nerves on its back
support.
