Registered Apprenticeship
Trades including plumbers, electricians, manufacturing, police offices, butchers, etc.

Apprentices: Must be employed
Must have a High School Diploma or GED; or be a student attending Human Services classes at a technical center
Commit to on-the-job training with a qualified mentor in their workplace
Earn 18 college credits, tuition-free

In collaboration with the VT Department of Labor and area child care employers, manages Child Care Apprenticeship
Blends state and federal funding, private foundations, community grants and individual donors and membership dues

VCCICC has provided funding to support 45 continuous semesters, first at Champlain College in 2001/2002 and at CCV starting in 2003

111 apprentices have completed the Program
42 apprentices have signed agreements with the VT Department of Labor
4 are in their Orientation period, slated to sign agreements and start college coursework in January.
