“ ur vision is to inspire and motivate researchers and

academicians to achieve their full potential in the fields of

science, technology and social science”

The conference will highlight the importance of basic

and applied aspects of science and social science disciplines

which will be addressed by international representatives drawn

from academic and research institutions, pharmaceutical

companies, governments and entrepreneurs. The main objective

of this Science and Social Science conference is to address and

focuses on challenges faced by the academicians, researchers

and industrialists across the globe. We are quite confident that

the deliberations and discussions of the conference would help

evolving suitable ideas through theoretical lectures by the

eminent academicians and researchers in the thrust areas of

science and social science disciplines.

OThe International Conference on Emerging

Trends in Science and Social Sciences, provide a forum

for discussion of disciplinary and interdisciplinary

approaches to knowledge creation within and across the

various science and social sciences and between social,

natural and applied sciences. Each of the sciences of

the social is marked by its distinctive disciplinary modes,

thinking practices of Anthropology, Behavioural

Sciences, Cognitive Science, Cultural Studies,

Demography, Economics, Education, Geography,

Humanities, Commerce, Mathematics, Management,

Politics, Policy Studies, Psychology, Social Welfare,

Sociology and Library Science.

These are some of the out-of-the-ordinary

knowledge processes that might justify use of the word

'science', not only in the social sciences but also in the

natural, physical, mathematical and applied sciences.

Science has a categorical frame of reference based on

higher levels of semantic precision and regularity than

SCOPE AND IMPORTANCE OF THE CONFERENCE:

everyday discourse. On this foundation, it builds theories which model the world and develop explanatory paradigms. Science

develops frames of reasoning and explanation: logic, inference, prediction, hypothesis, induction and deduction. Science is

also application-oriented, as it may be pragmatic, designing and implementing practical solutions within larger frames of

reference and achieving technical and instrumental outcomes.

The natural and technological sciences are themselves more subject to contestation around axes of human interest

than the narrow understanding of science seems to be able to comprehend. Whether it is bioethics, or climate change, or the

debates around Darwinism and Intelligent Design, or the semantics of computer systems, questions of politics and ideology

are bound closely to the ostensible evidence. A reconstructive view of the social, natural and applied sciences would be

holistic, attempting always to avoid the occlusions of narrow methodological approaches.

The humanizing role of knowledge on individuals and societies supplemented by technological innovations leads to

expanded employment opportunities, sustainable communities and increased quality of life. As Science and Social Sciences

generate and disseminate this knowledge, the future of our societies highly depends on them. Aiming to work towards better

visibility, integration and implementation of Science and Social Sciences into research policies, the event would acts as a

forum for scholarly exchange of ideas, examination of the common grounds and bridges of Science and Social Sciences with

technological, natural and other fields of science. The Conference would brings together researchers, academicians, policy

makers, business people, leaders from non-governmentalorganisations and civil society groups from all around the globe. We

hope that the Conference would provide you with thought-provokingdiscussions, opportunities for partnership and a pleasant

stay in Malaysia.

The International Conference on Recent Trends in Science and Social Science will be a significant event to create an

opportunity to bring together researchers from academia, industry, corporate, scientists, scholars, students, natural activists and

environmental organizations and to encourage collaborations through research talks and presentations to put forward many thought

provoking strategies sharing the common agenda using classical and other advanced approaches that have been made available for

mankind during 21st century. The conference aims to address the following objectives;

To orient delegates from different countries about the importance

and integration of science and social science disciplines.

To acquaint them on philosophical and theoretical dimensions of

science and social science research.

To deliberate on different aspects of formulating research

questions and objectives, setting research design to obtain

novel results and science and social science disciplines.

To create more impact among the delegates through collaborative

research between the scholars, teachers, industrialists and

entrepreneurs of science and social science disciplines.

To discuss about the best practices for researchers to engage with

government, public and non-government organizations.

To analyse the fundamental role that the science and social sciences

play a major role in society.

To deliberate the expanded role for scholars of science and social

sciences in tackling societal and cultural problems through

academic research.

The benefit of education, let alone higher education, was a distant dream for the poor people of

Virudhunagar region until the nineteen forties. It was in the backdrop that the philanthropic and munificent

members of the merchant community of this town were longing for a college of their own. In June, 1947, the

idea of establishing a college in Virudhunagar was mooted at Nadar Mahajana Sangam meet held at

Kovilpatti. Rao Bahadur M.S.P. Senthikumara Nadar who was present on the dais at that moment made on

the spot announcement to donate a hefty sum of Rupees Two lakhs to start a college in Virudhunagar. Thiru

M.S.Periasamy Nadar was gracious enough to donate and acquire one hundred and fifty acres of land on the

Aruppukottai road for the college. The Institution has attained an eminent status with 22 UG, 14 PG and 13

M.Phil., and 10 Ph.D Programme. The UGC granted Autonomous status to the institution in 2012. The college

is accredited with A Grade by NAAC in the fourth cycle of accreditation. The institution has secured 63 rank in

National Institutional Ranking Framework by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi.

Today, after 72 years of its inception, VHNSN College has grown from strength to strength, scaling new heights

and crossing many a milestone on the academic road. Even a casual glance at the campus of this college will

speak volumes for its multidimensional development. The sprawling campus dotted with lush green trees, the

imposing and massive buildings, the sophisticated infrastructure with the state of art technology, the

computerized and well - stocked library, the committed and competent team of staff and the enlightened

management has collectively transformed this great institution into a towering colossus, standing astride and

the pinnacle of academic excellence.
