VDCF is a platform mana,ement frame$or for the Solaris "peratin, S6stem. VDCF allo$s 6ou to run a#irtuali;ed data center usin, Solaris 10 and 11 Containers and/or Bo,ical Domains controlled 36 acentrali;ed mana,ement ser#er.

8ith VDCF omaSoft offers a tool to simpl6 and effecti#el6 operate 6our Solaris 3ased #irtual datacenter. "n a central mana,ement ser#er 6ou create definitions and confi,uration $hich are stored in theConfi,uration 9epositor6. ?his information is then used 36 VDCF to populate ph6sical ser#ers $ith aSolaris 3uild from $hich #irtual ser#ers or lo,ical domains are created.

VDCF is installed in the Glo3al Eone of a Solaris 11 Ser#er. From this ser#er 6ou install and operate 6ourph6sical ser#ers 2odes / Control Domains4 Guest Domains and 6our #irtual ser#ers 2Containers/Eones4.
