Synopsis:

Title: A Place Safe From Home
Synopsis:
“A Place Safe From Home” follows ten-year-old boys, Jimmy and Tom, who meet in
a nearby forest and become friends. They continue to catch up at the same place to
play but Jimmy notices that each day Tom returns to the forest with new cuts and
bruises to his body. When asked what had happened, Tom avoids true explanation,
saying they're just accidents. Jimmy decides to follow him home where he learns that
Tom is the victim of domestic violence from his own father. With Tom too afraid to
report or even speak about the abuse to others, it is up to Jimmy to seek help, and
be the voice for his friend.

Synopsis:
"Deep Six" is a dark comedy about dead bodies that suddenly awaken in a mortuary.
In order to move on into the afterlife, they need to find peace within themselves.
This is proven difficult for an elderly couple of 50 years who despise each other and
a military man who can't accept his death.
It is now up to peace loving man Laser, to help these lost souls move on. But will he
succeed?

Title: Lieutenant-at-Arms
Synopsis:
“Lieutenant-at-Arms” is a Cold War political adventure which tells the story of a
young blind girl who becomes increasingly paranoid about the Communist threat.
When continual reminders of impending nuclear attack start filtering into her
militaristic everyday life, she enlists the help of a stranded RAF pilot to prepare for
the inevitable. But as she begins to understand more about her world, she starts to
question even those dearest to her and realises the real danger may be closer than
she first feared.

Synopsis:
“Feast on the Young” is a fantasy horror that follows 16-year-old Mina, who goes on
a spontaneous family trip to a cabin in the Victorian rainforest. After her imaginative
little sister discovers mushroom rings outside, the two venture into the forest in the
hopes of finding a fairy. Mina soon discovers that what lies beyond the forest is more
sinister than she could have ever imagined.

Synopsis:
“Guppy” is a romantic-drama short film, written and directed by Charles Richardson.
Guppy follows Lucas, a 23 year old middle-of-the-road graduate, who flees to Japan
after confessing his love to a childhood friend. He gives her a ticket, and a choice;
don't reply, don't call. Just show up, or don't... I'll be waiting. As he ventures through
rural Kyoto, Lucas considers all the ways his life is about to change...

chaos he'll soon realise it'll take something more than sarcasm to fill the hole left in
his heart.

Title: The Black Dog of Provence
Synopsis:
Xavier Jones, a London-based events manager, arrives in Provence to spend the
weekend with his French mother, Sylvie. Sylvie is a vivacious character, but
someone who struggles with emotional issues and a fondness for the bottle. What
ensues is a humorous story as the initially polite façade between mother and son
disintegrates over the course of the day. Home truths are revealed and suppressed
hurts bubble to the surface, leading to a climactic event under the glow of a full
moon... and to poor Xavier facing an impossible moral dilemma.

Synopsis:
A comedy-drama. Recently deceased teenager, Ry, arranges a day trip back to
Earth so he can hold a farewell dinner in his honour. Unfortunately, getting his
friends to attend proves to be harder than he thought. Ry eventually must learn that
perhaps his friends need each other more than they need him around.

Title: Seed
Synopsis:
Lina is a shy florist, and aspiring vlogger, who starts receiving gifts from a secret
admirer. The gifts gets more and more intense until her admirer, Brandon, attacks
her one morning at the flower shop where she works. To the shock of both Brandon
and herself, she fights him off and blinds him in one eye in the process. The
consequences of this event are unexpected and drive both Lina and Brandon down
paths they cannot turn back from.

Synopsis:
“We Vanish” is a political drama about Rocio, the protective young mother of Mia, a
naive teenage girl who falls in love with Juan. Juan works in organised crime, in the
State of Mexico where an epidemic of violence against women is rapidly raising. Mia
soon learns that loving a man in this world comes with a violent twist. Rocio believes
that the only way to protect her daughter is by teaching her to fight back, but in a
misogynistic world where mens’ only response to rejection is violence, empowering
her daughter will only end in her inevitable death.

Synopsis:
Inspired by true events, “The Looking Glass” (working title) tells the story of a young
runaway who arrives in a remote, coastal-town motel, where the eccentric owner
obsessively watches and documents the behaviour of the clientele from a secret
attic. Their lives become inevitably intertwined when a tragic accident takes place,
forcing both of them to reconcile the mistakes they've made.
“The Looking Glass” is a story that explores the nature of voyeurism, psychosexual
behaviour, and the loneliness of youth.

Synopsis:
“Welcome To Hades” is a road film inspired by various indigenous cultures rites of
passage into manhood that explores themes of loss, childhood, love and innocence.
14- year old Michael grieves the loss of his first love by taking a spiritual journey into
the woods with Treacle a precocious 11-year-old girl who is in fact a physical
manifestation of Michael's psyche. On this journey a part of him must address
whether he can truly develop into a man while Treacle is still such a significant cant
part of his life.

Synopsis:
“Tamworth” is a coming-of-age drama set within the Australian country music scene.
Single-mother Lena is a former country music child star trying to navigate her
comeback after a 15-year hiatus.
Re-entering the scene comes with its setbacks however- for one Lena lives in the
shadow of her former partner Rhett, father to her children and successful music
producer. Also, the scene has changed. Lena is old news and nothing makes this
clearer than the presence of nineteen-year-old rising star Katy Bradley.
Struggling with her present jealousy and past pain, how can Lena move forward if
she keeps on looking back?

Synopsis:
May and June are identical twins who've shared an intensely close bond their entire
lives. As June is beginning to drift away from their shared sense of "oneness" and
define herself as a unique individual, May is tightening the reins on their relationship,
and growing more possessive of her sister.
A mole grows larger on June's cheek - an increasing symbol of their differences.

Title: Death by Bloom
Synopsis:
9 months ago a virus (that causes anyone who tells a lie to explode into a massive
firework) almost wiped out most of the human population.
Danny (30) who has always hated lying, feels at home in this new world. He is a
scavenger, living with his girlfriend Jane, who, as one of the last medical researchers
left, is tasked with developing a cure.
An opportunity arises for Jane to be transferred to the States, with access to a better
life, but she doesn't want to leave Danny behind because she loves him.
Danny feels that he is holding Jane back from doing what she wants to do so he has
no choice, but to lie to Jane in order for her to move on.
