Introduction:
Rural practices and progressions vary internationally—since plants have their own
particular contrasts and the area assumes a part on their advancement also. Be that
as it may, through the trading of information from various agronomically included
people from everywhere throughout the world, change of methods can be
experienced too. IT has turned into a scaold for individuals from everywhere
throughout the world.
!arming in India is the center area for sustenance security, dietary security, and
supportable advancement and for destitution easing.
" taxicab, also #nown as a taxi or a cab, is a type of vehicle for hire with a driver, used
by a single passenger or small group of passengers, often for a non$shared ride. "taxicab conveys passengers between locations of their choice. This diers from
other modes of public transport where the pic#$up and drop$o locations are
determined by the service provider, not by the passenger, although demand
responsive transport and share taxis provide a hybrid bus%taxi mode.
&wners and managers of grocery stores are #een to build sales and pro'ts. They
constantly strive to oer (uality products that customers demand at reasonable
prices. "dditionally, retailers must constantly be improving customer service
satisfaction in their units. )hile speci'c sales and customer service goals are
common with all retailers, certain retail management challenges can hinder a
grocery store*s chance of achieving these ob+ectives
"ims and &b+ectives
i- To identify broadly or refer to the laws, rules, regulations orders, schemes etc
enacted by Indian arliament or /tate 0egislatures connected with or related to
agriculture sector.
ii- To identify and list provisions in dierent statutes, rules, policies and practices
which limit competition or have potential to limit competition in agriculture sector.
iii- To critically review and analyses the relevant laws, rules, regulations and
policies governing the agriculture sector with a primary ob+ective to identifycompetition distorting elements contained therein. .
Sell what they need and have it in stock when they want it.
Make it easy for them to shop and find what they are looking for.
Provide all the information they need in order to quickly decide what to buy.
Have friendly helpful people available to make the shopping experience a pleasant one.
roblems faced by taxi driver
/upporters of taxicab deregulation may argue that deregulation causes the
following bene'ts:
0ower prices, because more taxis are competing on the mar#et1

0ower operating costs, incentivi2ed by the competition1
The competition adds (uality and the pressure to enhance one3s reputation1
4ew innovations such as shared$ride mar#ets and special services for the disabled,
new mar#et niches1
The demand for taxi services increases, as the prices fall and the (uality improves.
5eregulation advocates also may claim that, in a deregulated environment:
Blac# mar#et taxis become legal, possibly eliminating their problems,
6ities save money, as they do not have to plan and enforce regulation.
roblems faced by farmers
/ome of the ma+or problems and their possible solutions have been discussed as
follows. Indian agriculture is plagued by several problems1 some of them are natural
and some others are manmade.
7. /mall and fragmented land$holdings:
The problem of small and fragmented holdings is more serious in densely populated
and intensively cultivated states li#e 8erala, )est Bengal, Bihar and eastern part of
9ttar radesh where the average si2e of land holdings is less than one hectare and
in certain parts it is less than even .; hectare.
Ra+asthan with vast sandy stretches and 4agaland with the prevailing <=hoom*
shifting agriculture- have larger average si2ed holdings of > and ?.7; hectares
respectively. Irrigation becomes di@cult on such small and fragmented 'elds.
!urther, a lot of fertile agricultural land is wasted in providing boundaries. 9nder
such circumstances, the farmer cannot concentrate on improvement.
But unfortunately, this plan has not succeeded much. "lthough legislation for
consolidation of holdings has been enacted by almost all the states, it has been
implemented only in un+ab, Aaryana and in some parts of 9ttar radesh.
6onsolidation of about >; million holdings has been done till 7$7 in un+ab,
Aaryana and western 9ttar radesh. The other solution to this problem iscooperative farming in which the farmers pool their resources and share the pro't.
C. /eeds:
/eed is a critical and basic input for attaining higher crop yields and sustained
growth in agricultural production. 5istribution of assured (uality seed is as critical
as the production of such seeds. 9nfortunately, good (uality seeds are out of reach
of the ma+ority of farmers, especially small and marginal farmers mainly because of
exorbitant prices of better seeds. In order to solve this problem,
the Dovernment of India established the 4ational /eeds 6orporation 4/6- in 7EF
and the /tate !armers 6orporation of India /!6I- in 7E. Thirteen /tate /eed6orporations //6s- were also established to augment the supply of improved seeds
to the farmers.
Aigh Gielding Hariety rogramme AGH- was launched in 7EE$E? as a ma+or thrust
plan to increase the production of food grains in the country.
F. anures, !ertili2ers and Biocides:

Indian soils have been used for growing crops over thousands of years without
caring much for replenishing. This has led to depletion and exhaustion of soils
resulting in their low productivity. The average yields of almost all the crops are
among t e lowest in the world. This is a serious problem which can be solved by
using more manures and fertili2ers. Thus
increase in the consumption of fertili2ers is a barometer of agricultural prosperity.
Aowever, there are practical di@culties in providing su@cient manures and
fertili2ers in all parts of a country of India*s dimensions inhabited by poor peasants.
6ow dung provides the best manure to the soils.
The government has given high incentive especially in the form of heavy subsidy for
using chemical fertili2ers. There was practically no use of chemical fertili2ers at thetime of Independence "s a result of initiative by the government and due to change
in the attitude of some progressive farmers, the consumption of fertili2ers increased
tremendously.
>. Irrigation:
"lthough India is the second largest irrigated country of the world after 6hina, only
one$third of the cropped area is under irrigation. Irrigation is the most important
agricultural input in a tropical monsoon country li#e India where rainfall is uncertain,
unreliable and erratic India cannot achieve sustained progress in agriculture unless
and until more than half of the cropped area is brought under assured irrigation. In the Indira Dandhi 6anal command area also intensive irrigation has led to sharp
rise in sub$soil water level, leading to water$logging, soil salinity and al#alinity.
;. /oil erosion:
0arge tracts of fertile land suer from soil erosion by wind and water. This area must
be properly treated and restored to its original fertility.
E. "gricultural ar#eting:
"gricultural mar#eting still continues to be in a bad shape in rural India. In the
absence of sound mar#eting facilities, the farmers have to depend upon local
traders and middlemen for the disposal of their farm produce which is sold at throw$
away price. In order to save the farmer
from the clutches of the money lenders and the middle men, the government has
come out with regulated mar#ets. These mar#ets generally introduce a system of
competitive buying, help in eradicating malpractices, ensure the use of
standardised weights and measures and evolve suitable machinery for settlement
of disputes thereby ensuring that the producers are not sub+ected to exploitation
and receive remunerative prices.
J. Inade(uate storage facilities:
/torage facilities in the rural areas are either totally absent or grossly inade(uate.
9nder such conditions the farmers are compelled to sell their produce immediately
after the harvest at the prevailing mar#et prices which are bound to be low. /uch
distress sale deprives the farmers of their legitimate income.
The arse 6ommittee estimated the post$harvest losses at .F per cent of which
nearly E.E per cent occurred due to poor storage conditions alone. /cienti'c storage

is, therefore, very essential to avoid losses and to bene't the farmers and the
consumers ali#e.
roblems !aced By Taxi 5rivers on 5aily Basis:
Safety
Taxi drivers are victims of crime more often than the average person due to the nature of their work
they work in all parts of a city! often late at night! and they pick up random people who may be drunk!
on drugs or simply looking for trouble. "are evasion and robbery is common! and in certain cities
drivers can also be victims of violence! car theft and there have even been cases of murder and
rape.
#ong Hours! limited
movement $ health
problems
Taxi drivers often work %&'(&hour shifts or longer! and they are sitting in their cabs for much of this
time. Taxi drivers can be prone to health problems due their limited movement due to being in the
sitting position for hours on end and also their diets! they often they eat a lot of fast food on the run.
)ar $ driving problems
Taxi drivers face the same regular problems that all vehicle driver face traffic! break downs! bad
weather and other traffic related issues and fines. These problems are amplified for taxi drivers as
they are in their cars and on the road much more than the average driver.
)ompetition
Taxi drivers are competing against other drivers and other taxi companies who often try to claim
various areas of a city as their territory. )ompetition can be very fierce in some cities where an
almost mafia&like atmosphere dominates the city*s taxi industry.
+ew drivers
,hen a new driver starts they have to very quickly learn their trade and the city they are driving in or risk making very little money. +ew drivers are competing against established drivers who know the
city! who know from years of experience and by habit the places and times where passengers will
likely be. +ew drivers need to quickly get up to speed and presently there are few ways! apart from
simply driving and learning on the go! to do this.
Taxi driver responsibilities
-uthoried taxi drivers must comply with all relevant requirements of the Passenger Transport /egulation (001.
Some of these requirements are2
Taxi drivers must not:
Tout or solicit for passengers or for a hiring
Move more than 3 meters from the taxi without reasonable excuse while in the Sydney -irport precinct or at any other
airport.
Move the taxi while any door is open.
Taxi drivers must:

4ehave with civility and propriety towards intending passengers! passengers! other taxi drivers and authoried
officers
-ccept any hiring immediately when offered if the taxi is available for hire! except in the Sydney -irport precinct
where a hiring can only be accepted in a taxi one
-llow assistance animals or animals in training in their taxi
Hand over driver license and driver authority card to an authoried officer when requested to do so
Tell an authoried officer about details of a hiring when requested to do so within the Sydney -irport precinct.
roblems !aced by owners of retailer
Pricing
Price setting is a risky undertaking in the retail business. 4ecause the store is not yet established!
business owners often face difficulty in determining what price to charge for their goods. This risk isespecially apparent for retail stores selling custom&made goods. ,hile some retail stores determine
prices based on the competitor*s values! businesses purveying customied items cannot rely entirely on
this method. 5nline retail stores face the risk of pricing errors. "or example! accidentally pricing a 6700
necklace at 67 can wreak havoc on the bottom line. -voiding these risks entails devising a warranty policy
and writing disclaimers for pricing errors. Savvy retail owners also experiment with different pricing
strategies! including initial 8buy one! get one free* offers and other grand opening discounts.
Economic Conditions
/etailers are often sensitive to economic conditions because they sell items typically purchased with
disposable income. ,hen economic conditions decline and consumers have less spending money! retail
businesses often experience hardship. 5pening a retail store carries the risk of poor timing. "or instance!many entrepreneurs who went through the planning phases during the boom times of (009 experienced
financial drawbacks when the store finally opened during the great recession of (00%. Some retail store
owners use downturns to their advantage. /enting storefronts! for example! can be significantly cheaper
during downturns as property owners scramble to lease space. 5ther advantages may come from selling
recession&proof items such as ready&made meals and knock&off luxury goods
Theft and Damage
Though service industries worry about theft of ideas! retail stores face an ever&present concern regarding
theft of physical goods. 5pening a retail store requires purchasing a large stock of items and replenishingthese orders frequently. Managing this risk requires having an inventory management strategy in place.
Some stores use electronic tracking devices while other businesses utilie in&store security cameras to
monitor employees and customers. 5nline stores must prevent online data theft as well. :mploy a
number of preventative measures! including full disk encryption and hard&drive encryption. These steps
prevent database hacking and preserve sensitive information! such as credit card numbers! from being
stolen

1. Money
Money is known to be one of the ma;or causes of problems that can lead business to failure. "or
a new business! the biggest mistake is expecting instant profit. <oung and eager entrepreneurs
start up a business with little money! assuming they will earn big and then invest that money
again in their business. =t is significant to understand that you cannot get an instant profit at the
start of your business. :xperts advise not to expect much profit for at least two years. -lways
prepare for the worst case scenario. 4efore starting a business! ensure that you have enough
money to sustain you at least up to two years. Start slowly and patiently.
2. Getting Clients
"or a new business! it is difficult to attract prospects and retain customers. ,ith a smallmarketing and advertising budget! new entrepreneurs are unable to reach out to a wider
audience. Potential customers are usually hesitant to going for a new business. They prefer
going for companies that have experience and a large customer following. However! the good
news is big companies charge more. There are many clients and customers who are looking for
companies that provide cheaper! but good quality service. Providing excellent service to them
will ensure that they remain your customers and even recommend you to others.
3. Poor Marketing
-part from a detailed business plan! a marketing plan is also important for any business. 5nce
you have a clear idea about your target market and your competition! you can allocate a budget
for advertising and promoting your business and decide which medium to advertise through.<ou can also decide your product pricing through target market analysis. Make sure you that
your pricing can be easily afforded by your target market and that your advertising effectively
reaches them.
