CONCLUSIONBest solution is to try Hydroponic

techniques in 40 feet containers or take raw agriculture articles and value-add and finish to ready-to-sell condition by resorting to repacking after processing. Remember, they are wealthy and already exposed to world class goods.

For other nearby countries like Singapore or Malaysia we have to follow the same technique, we are already perhaps late or should soon act.In international economic relations and international politics, "most favored nation" (MFN) is a status or level of treatment accorded by one state to another in international trade. The term means the country which is the recipient of this treatment must, nominally, receive equal trade advantages as the "most favored nation" by the country granting such treatment. (Trade advantages include low tariffs or high import quotas.)

In effect, a country that has been accorded MFN status may not be treated less advantageously than any other country with MFN status by the promising country. There is a debate in legal circles whether MFN clauses in bilateral investment treaties include only substantive rules or also procedural protections.

BenefitsTrade experts consider MFN clauses to

have the following benefits:

• A country that grants MFN on imports will have its imports provided by the most efficient supplier. This may not be the case if tariffs differ by country.

• MFN allows smaller countries, in particular, to participate in the advantages that larger countries often grant to each other, whereas on their own, smaller countries would often not be powerful enough to negotiate such advantages by themselves.

• Granting MFN has domestic benefits: having one set of tariffs for all countries simplifies the rules and makes them more transparent. It also lessens the frustrating problem of having to establish rules of origin to determine which country a product (that may contain parts from all over the world) must be attributed to for customs purposes.

• MFN restrains domestic special interests from obtaining protectionist measures. For example, butter producers in country A may not be able to lobby for high tariffs on butter to prevent cheap imports from developing country B, because, as the higher tariffs would apply to every country, the interests of A's principal ally C might get impaired.

As MFN clauses promote non-discrimination among countries, they also tend to promote the Objective of free trade in general.

E veryone of us is born a entrepreneur but circumstances and a greed to short cut to success

takes away this skill and the comforts in life resists us to be a successful ENTREPRENEUR. The good news is that you can always make a start at any age whether you are a 8 year old kid or a 80 year young at mind. In normal circumstances any Indian parent will tell the child study well so that you can become a engineer or doctor and work with a big company. But a Entrepreneur will tell his child study hard so that you can stand up in life , open a big company and you give employment to many people. So sowing of this seed should start from a very young age so that the mind is always clear that i need to do my own. Even when you work in a company do not work with an employees mindset, but think that you are the owner of the company and take every decision you would have taken if you were the owner. My self I am a serially failed entrepreneur , i am on it since 2004 and we are in 2014 in this span of 10 years i had ventured into manufacturing, franchise business , consultancy assignments , and fell flat on the face in every business that i put my hand on ,but the entrepreneur bug inside me keeps on telling me that RAJIB you are a born Entrepreneur don’t quit just DO IT .

So far I have lost money in every business I ventured into but still the fire inside me says hold on , have patience your time will come. Rome was not built in a day and nor will my big global educational portal start in a day.It would have been very easy if i would have splashed some capital or ventured as a me too business model but decided to take a long painful journey Learn from my mistakes , failures and have patience to see my baby grow into a MAN.

Alas Align your each move to your final destination and do not waste a single second from your Goal. Tunnel Vision or Bulls Eye vision is required so that you dont defocus from your goal. Enjoy life and its every moment and enjoy the journey of uncertainity. Think of doing good to people through your venture . Do something that will help people. If you run after money , you will never earn it. Run to help through your venture and have such a big ambition that you need to leave the comfort zone and land yourself in uncertainities. So I wish each one of you a successful Entrepreneurship journey , Get Up , Take your Entrepreur SHIP to the sea of UNCERTAINITY and enjoy each and every moment of the journey but never ever QUIT.

Few things he did right:

1. Decision (Right or wrong?) He knew, even after all the R&D, the decision to venture into socially exceptional domain is just a decision - neither right nor wrong. After firing his boss within year of starting this venture, he proved his decision right; but again firing his boss was just a decision. A dream came true and many more to come true with time.

2. Commitment (does 87.3% commitment works?) Soon he realized that the journey isn't an easy one. There is no balanced life for an entrepreneur. Our Mr. MBA chose to live an imbalanced life for 4 to 5 years (only work and no life) because he knows the end result of this journey is an amazing imbalance for rest of the life (only life and no work). He is not alone in paying the price, his family is also equally involved. Nevertheless, he is 100% committed toward his dream.

ntrepreneurship is a buzzing word that excites most of us E

today and Mr. MBA is no exception. He too did not know initially that it's a roller coaster ride, which excited him in the beginning and scared him en-route. But he lives in highlight and believes that 'the end will be the beginning of a beautiful life filled with choices'. Everyone he knows, beyond the finish line, shares the same thought it's amazing & worth riding. Most people ask this question and mostly are not sure about venturing into. Although it seems to be a journey embarked on by chance, hearts of hearts he knows it came to him because he had asked for it. When the opportunity knocked at his door, his financial situation wasn't conducive and the mere thought of betting his life-long savings caused him sleepless nights. Even before embarking on the journey, he thought of quitting a lot of times. He knew, as he had read many times, failure is the stepping stone to success; but the unanticipated road blocks this time were his own family members/ close friends & well-wishers. And to add to their rationale, he had already closed his first e-retail venture before its anniversary. As he often says - What it takes is 'to get up again' after every fall. Today, he believes entrepreneurship is for anyone who is

ready to replace 'I Wish' with 'I will.'

Page 11: Vamnicom enlighten magazine 6th edition (1)

3. Got a Coach (I know it all!) Today, it isn't necessary to re-invent the wheel to be successful. It's a no brainer for him to work together with more than one brain in sync. There is nothing better than leveraging someone else's real-life learnings. He feels lucky to have a coach like Mr. Vibes, a game changer throughout his career, a certified trainer and above all a serial entrepreneur.

Few things he avoided:

1. Will everybody buy into my philosophy (Yes/No?) He believes that there is no exception to the 80:20 rule and knows that if he wants to achieve success, he must be strong enough to survive through 80%. There is no substitute to hard work, no elevator to success and hence we must climb the staircase. He believes in whatever he does and it is the most important attribute to his success. The only person who can make him successful is He - Himself. 2. I am the king (or King maker?) One thing he learned though hard-way is the value of time over money. He knows if he wants to enjoy the life to the

fullest, he must have time freedom (24x7). The successful 3% decentralize control - the secret of living a life of choices. It's always better to leverage on other's resources than trading own. Goal is more important than Role. And He became the king maker by choice.

3. I can't do it (How can I do it?) Challenges are an integral part of our life and an entrepreneurial life is no exception. Many think that challenges come to break them, but he believes that challenges come as an opportunity to introspect & re-discover his true self. When someone says, I can't do it; the person has already quit on himself. The right question to ask is How can I do it?

Take off was great, though as part time with job, but soon came a point where he had to take the toughest decision of his life. He had to choose between the job and entrepreneurship; the security (oxymoron) or the freedom. It was a battle within, a risk, where his decision could turn right or wrong. It was a tough choice for him as he hails from middle class where the only legacy we get is to study for decades to secure a means of survival - the job. Nobody was supporting his decision, neither family nor best friends; it scared him even more. After swaying between two minds he finally chose to take a leap of faith and decided to let go of security. Before asking what to do and how, ask strongly WHY to do it. Do the needful, think though and decide. But once decided, keep doing till it happens. There are only two ways of not being successful in any business - one is not to start, the other is to quit. Remember, there are three kinds of people in this world; 1. People who 'Make things happen' 2. People who 'Watch things happen' and 3. People who wonder 'What happened'?

One thing he learned though hard-way is the value of time over money. He knows if he wants to enjoy the life to the fullest, he must have time freedom (24x7).

to have guts to dedicate entire project course work of business education for allowing their students to do and learn the things what they have been theoretically and academically taught for in two years of post-graduationThe business education actually comes to practical implementation in this subject, each and every part of academics whatever is taught in two years is applied here from HR to Project Management.

That is why Google, Hewlett-Packard, Nike, Sun Microsystems, and Yahoo!, Microsoft, Apple, Starbucks, Walmart, Disney World, Facebook all were created in USA though all have inputs from Indian minds, what an irony. The time is changing now even in corporate world. And it is a myth that entrepreneurship only exist in startups or businesses, an increasing number of large companies are become a “Corporate Entrepreneur”

It has always been the irony of academic coursework of business in

our country that that after studying “business” only aim of student is to get placement at highest package. We cannot point finger on any specific institution, even the IIMs have same trend and mindset, though initially the IIMs were started to support the business community and give a solid contribution to growth rate of our economy. Although It has been a trend to fight for getting packages in all management institutions of country, there has still been a breed of management students who while studying business dream to start something of their own- the breed of “future entrepreneurs”. These dreamers have always given an extra edge to the thoughts of young mind; these are the spark creators who keep on scanning the environment for opportunities continuously and ultimately starting something of their own. The feeling of “owning” is really different and full of different level of satisfaction. As we all know that course work of our PGDM-ABM includes a three term subject “Entrepreneurship Management in Agriculture Projects” where the students have to prepare a bankable project report covering all aspects of a business plan. This subject itself make our coursework

USA has been to able become “developing country” to “developed country” in the shortest duration than any other country in world even after being a colony of Britain, with the residents from each and every race of world, only because they worked honestly with the nationalist feeling in their heart and entrepreneurial psyche

by creating entrepreneurial environment with in them. Why?? To get high return on human capital, to get better and broader innovation etc. The benefit is in-fact mutual. Employee get higher satisfaction as they are provided with greater responsibility, , more learning and development experience as they try and implement new ideas, better performance as they feel more ownership for their own actions, greater commitment as they feel valued and part of

Working in the same line Project

Management Unit was create under Center for Research and Publication, the idea of which actually generated at Center for Management Education while working with PGDM-ABM students. In academic year 2012-13 seven EoI/ Proposals were submitted; EDII, NPC, MKCL, Intertek-Moody, NEN were approached for collaborations to explore more areas of exposure for PGDM students. The activities were more, time as well as manpower was less. In the mean time our institution got a fresh breeze in the form of insightful leader, Shri Sanjeeb Patjoshi, IPS, Director- VAMNICOM. He was ready to take hard decisions, full of new and revolutionary ideas, dedicated to improve the image of

institution with aim to put institution on horizon. The idea was sent to him and he at-once accepted it. The Project Management Unit came in to action with motto of entrepreneurship development, cluster development, skill development and consultancy development. It is a highly dedicated effort of institution to get new projects and involve PGDM students in it as well for wide level exposure to government’s effort of development.. Till date “Technology based Entrepreneurship Development Programme” and “Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme” of one month are done by support from Science and Technology Park of Pune University, Innovation Park of National Chemical Laboratory with sponsorship from National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and

guidance from Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. More Faculty Development Programmes, Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development Programmes are in the pipeline. Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Excellence Group of Companies has joined hand with VAMNICOMvia Project Management Unit to support in various activities.

National Cooperative Summit 2013 was done; VAMNICOM Young Communicator’s Club was created with joint support from Project Management Unit where Public Relation Council of India and Media4U stands as big support. The future is definitely bright and tomorrow is calling for entrepreneurs for economical development.

The global internet community came to a stand-still when Facebook announced that it had agreed to purchase popular smartphone messenger, WhatsApp for £19bn on Wednesday the 19th of February 2014.

While some are excited about the future potentials of the acquisition, some are unsure if selling WhatsApp was a good move by its founders and others are unsure if WhatsApp is actually even worth the $19bn. whatever category you fall into, that is a debate for another day.

THE INSPIRING STORY…

5 years ago, Brian Acton one of the co-founders of WhatsApp (right in the picture above), had been a Yahoo employee for 11 years. He left Yahoo to apply first for a position at Twitter and got rejected.

Next, he and Jan Koum (a Yahoo colleague) applied to fill a job vacancy at Facebook and got rejected again! Interestingly, Brian remained positive…

Brian Acton’s 2009 tweet opines about “life’s next adventure.” That adventure turned out to be a 450 million-user mobile messaging giant which he co-founded with with Jan Koum a few months after getting turned down by Facebook.Today, Brian & Jan have officially joined the billionaires club and are to become members of Facebook’s board of directors (the same company that refused to employ them as members of staff 5 years ago), thanks to the $19bn acquisition.

THE LESSONS TO BE LEARNT…

“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” ? Winston Churchill

Sometimes things don’t work out because that is not where/how we are supposed to be. Or probably because going a certain route would limit our potential. Think about it, If Brian & Jan had been accepted at Facebook in 2009, there would be no WhatsApp today!

Even though things might not go according to plan or turn out as expected, do not lose hope and do not accept defeat; rather persevere and work even harder. Success is the eventual reward of consistency and tenacity!Whatever it is you are doing, keep working hard at it regardless of how bleak the future might seem and hopefully you will see the light at the end of tunnel soon enough :)

HISTORY

Later he was joined by his sons, and the group opened their first ‘Thali’ restaurant - ‘Samrat’ in 1973 followed by ‘Status’ respectively. The growth of the group exploded after the efforts of our current Chairman Dr. Vithal V. Kamat. Under his guidance 'Kamats' become a household name especially in Maharashtra & Gujarat with a 'Kamats' restaurant at almost every major junction of South Mumbai. Born with keen business sense, Dr. Vithal V. Kamat had the opportunity to tone his skills while working with his grand father Shri R.P. Kamat in Bangalore. With his hard work and determination, Dr. Vithal V. Kamat grew more larger than the general name 'Kamats' to become a brand in himself.

In 1997 Dr. Vithal V. Kamat split from the family, as written in his famous autobiography - ‘Idli Orchid ani Me’ (Marathi best seller), and made his own path. As guest came to except high level of quality, hygiene & service from Dr. Vithal V. Kamat, it became more necessary for him to branch out on his own name. Therefore, to better identify with his fan following and to differentiate 'Vithal Kamats - Restaurants' from other general ‘Kamats’

In 2005 the group reinstated itself as 'Vithal Kamat – Original Family Restaurant' to be better identified for the quality and product that he stood for. He followed his zeal for restaurants under the flagship company - KRPL (Kamats Restaurants Private Limited), which is ambitiously growing from strength to strength on highways across India. KRPL owns and also franchises its restaurants across India.

Through sheer hard work and keen business acumen, he started his first restaurant at byculla. Not content with its doing well, his ambitions was supported by his wife, Smt. Indira V. Kamat, who pawned her jewellery including her mangal sutra to set up the flagship Satkar in 1938 . From there the group only went from strength to strength adding many restaurants under his fold such as Suruchi, Sanman etc…

T his book will change the

way you think about life and how you get along with others. Dale Carnegie's book is an all time best seller and great book for anyone. It can be found in either the self improvement or business section of your bookstore. How to Win Friends and Influence People was originally published in 1937 and has since had a few updates to the book. Many of the concepts in the book seem like common sense, but so many of us don't actually put them into use. The book talks about becoming genuinely interested in other people, using a persons first name, listening, and making others feel important. His concepts are absolutely essential for any entrepreneur or salesperson.

Revisited is an

the bestseller that

about starting your

The main point out of this book was the difference between working on your business and working in your business. Much like Rich Dad Poor Dad, Michael Gerber notes how you must build your company and design it so that it works for you. Many people start businesses, work themselves to death, micro manage, and essentially create “another job” for themselves. The goal is to become an owner or investor where you aren't involved in the day to day operations, and instead are the visionary that looks at the big picture.

R einvent the Way You

Make a Living, Do What You Love, and Create a New Future. In this book Chris explains case studies he's researched on over 50 different reputable companies who started with very little money and bootstrapped to become a success. I enjoyed the $100 Startup because Chris is very detailed and transparent when he talks about the steps and processes it takes to build a great company. He examines what entrepreneurs did in even the first weeks and months to generate significant cash. The ability to focus and be persistent are important topics covered in his book. I'd highly recommend the $100 startup to any entrepreneur.

This book is very inspirational, and just might inspire you to quit your 9-5 job. Robert has two people playing the father role in his book. One is a professor and the other is a business man. The book talks about making money work for you and the mindset you must have to be successful. I thought the content was great and ended up buying the book for many family members and good friends.
