The VDF Series is a unique Vaccon innovation that placesthe vacuum port and exhaustpath inline making a straight-through venturi vacuum pump.These compact pumps offerboth high flow rates up to 120SCFM [3400 LPM] and high vacuum levels up to 25"Hg[847mbar]. Developed for extremely dirty and dusty env-ironments such as foundries, refractory and bagging operations, VDF pumps don’t clog, lose suction or require a vacuum filter. VDF pumps are field-adjustableallowing you to regulate the vacuum flow and vacuumlevel to meet your application requirements.

This maximizes energy efficiency by consuming only thecompressed air necessary to do the job.

The FDF Series offers the same inline, dirt tolerant design as the VDF Series without the adjustability. The FDF Series have a “fixed” performance level and are set to generate the maximum vacuum level 25"Hg [847mbar] and maximum vacuum flow of the comparable VDF Series pump.

Material Conveying Vacuum Pumps

DF Series

The DF Series of high flow material conveying vacuumpumps provide a simple, reliable and cost effectivemethod of in-line transfer of bulk materials, complexshapes, individual objects, and selvedge. The DF pump’sunique capability to create instantaneous vacuum flowand high air velocity, combined with its straight-through, smooth bore design allows material to pass directly through the pump at high speeds without interference or clogging. Available in 17 standard models with inside diameters from 1/8" [6mm] to 4" [100mm].

Custom Materials and End Configurations

For chemical compatibility,heat and environmentalrequirements, food and medical applications, Vaccon’s DF Series offerscustom materials (Teflon®,stainless steel, PVC,PEEK), special coatings,and modified threads in-cluding internal and ex-ternal threaded exhaustand/or vacuum ports with NPT or G port threads.

Silencers AA Series Silencers

AA Series silencers have excellentnoise reducing characteristics withminimal resistance to air flow. Thelarge surface of the felt element re-sists contamination far more than other materials suchas sintered bronze, steel mesh or porous polyethylene.

ST Series Silencers

The ST Series Silencers are designed with a straightthrough flow path that elimi-nates clogging by allowing thecontaminants to pass directlythrough the silencer. Even inthe most adverse conditions,contaminates pass through the silencer making the ST Series ideal for silencing vacuum pumps that arecontinuously ingesting dirt and debris.

STAA Series Silencers

The STAA Series hybrid silencer offers increased noisereduction by combining an ST silencer with an AA silencer.The (closed-end) AA silenceris attached to the end of a modified ST silencer, thus removing the flow through feature of the standard ST Series silencers.

FA-51 Series Silencers

The FA-51 Series silencersoffer remarkable noise reduc-tion for high volume exhaustapplications without causingback pressure. These silencersare ideal for quieting large airvalves that must exhaust quickly to maintain high cycle rates.

Vacuum CupsBellows Cups

Bellows cups have a pliableouter rim that will conformto curved or uneven surfaces while the bellowssections compensate for inconsistent stack heights.

Under vacuum the accor-dion-style bellows cup willcollapse on contact. The collapsing action simulatesa short cylinder stroke lifting the product a shortdistance, possibly savingthe need for a separate lifting mechanism.

Flat Cups

Flat cups without cleats areflexible and work well in ap-plications that do not requirelifting heavy loads. Flat cupswith cleats are strong with arigid, low profile that will liftheavy loads. The low profileallows heavy loads to be lifted vertically without the cup“peeling” away from the product surface or deformingthe object being lifted. These cups perform well whengripping smooth, flat, heavy objects such as steel, glass(television picture tubes) and coated corrugated.

Universal Cups

Universal cups can handleflat or slightly curved surfaces. Universal cups donot have cleats.

Oval Cups

Like cleated cups, ovalcups have heavy load capabilities due to theirrigid design and largevacuum work area. Ovalcups have the largest lift-ing force because theyprovide the most surface area for a given footprint.

Ultra-Miniature Cups

Ultra-Miniature cups are idealfor use in picking up extremelysmall parts such as computerchips, wafers and electronicscomponents. In high tempera-ture materials, Ultra-miniature cups may be used inlaboratory and food processing environments.

UH Rigid Cups

UH Rigid Cups are ideal forporous material handling applications. Vaccon also offers Specialty Cups in a variety of styles, materialsand sizes. Consult factory.

Vacuum Cup FittingsDesigned with large thrubores, Vaccon fittings connectto vacuum cups, vacuumpumps and spring levelers ensuring unrestricted vac-uum flow for safe material handling operations. Designed specifically for vacuum applications, theyoffer high flow capacity with minimal flow restrictionand feature extremely low cracking pressures of lessthan 1"Hg. The large unrestricted flow path ensureshigh flow at low vacuum levels. The low cracking pressure allows the vacuum system to reach its maximum vacuum level before the check valve seals offthe system.

For accurate monitoring, these gaugesprovide easy visual confirmation for the operator, en-suring consistent performance. In-Line Vacuum FiltersAdd Vaccon’s compact in-line vacuum filters tovacuum lines or air-sup-ply lines to trap dirt anddebris from entering theprocess, or to the exhaustport to capture airbornecontaminants. Vaccon’spleated-element design offers a filter with significantlylonger life and much higher flow capacity than non-pleated, porous plastic designs. Pneumatic Vacuum SwitchConverts vacuum signal intopneumatic signal Vaccon’sPneumatic Vacuum Switchprovides a repeatable pneu-matic output signal whenreaching the user-definedvacuum set-point level andis appropriate for use in allvacuum systems. The output signal is a voluminous 2.5SCFM at 100 PSI, with a response time of 64 ms at 90PSI. This high flow and fast response makes the switchideal for high-speed pneumatic circuits with lengthyplumbing lines and for continuously monitored vacuumapplications such as vacuum clamping (chucking), vacuum forming, vessel evacuation, and pick and place.

Vaccon’s vacuum switchesare ideal in automated systems to generate a lowcurrent electrical signal forinput to a PLC or other logiccontrollers. The adjustableswitches are normally open, diaphragm operated, andcontain low-stress deflecting contacts instead of sliding or pivoting parts for high reliability and long life.

VSW5A Series

Vaccon's VSW5A is a high-current capacity switch capable of switching linevoltage loads from 5 Ampsto 125 VAC. The sealed vac-uum switch is field ad-justable from 5 to 28"Hg [169 to 948 mbar]. Miniature Solid State Vacuum Sensors

Vaccon’s miniature solid statevacuum sensors provide continuous voltage or currentoutput proportional to the system vacuum. These sensorsare available as a 4-20mA, or 0-5VDC output devices. Because sensors provide a constant signal, system designmay be reconfigured with software changes rather thanmechanical adjustment typical of a switch. Spring Levelers -Level Compensators

When handling sensitive objectssuch as fruit, Vaccon Spring Lev-elers feature a soft touch allow-ing compliance for end-of-armtools to ensure that all cups makecontact. This is especially impor-tant when handling large objectssuch as sheets of plywood thatmay be warped and the tool has multiple vacuum cupsthat must make contact. Vaccon offers a large range ofsizes and travel lengths 0.2" [5mm] to 3.6" [91mm] toaccommodate the necessary over-driving by the liftingmechanism to bring all cups in contact. We offer largethru-bores that allow higher vacuum flow to overcomeleakage and for rapid evacuation to ensure safe handling operations. The Series 3 Levelers have highperformance bearings that prevent binding from sideloading, provide a smooth operation over long strokesand prolong leveler life.

Light Duty Spring Leveler Mounting Brackets

Designed for flexible manu-facturing operations, SLBFand SLBS Series mountingbrackets attach to the top,sides or bottom of 1" [25mm]and 1.5" [40mm] extrusions.Easily mounted and adjusted,the Light Duty Spring LevelerBrackets readily rotate, slideor pivot for accurate partalignment. If the part size orprocess should change, you can reposition the bracketsin a matter of seconds. Using your extrusions or ours,SLBF and SLBS Series mounting brackets connect to ourVSL Series Spring Levelers and a variety of our venturivacuum pumps to create a simple, off-the-shelf End-of-Arm device.

Heavy Duty Spring Levelers/Level Compensators

We offerlarge thru-bores thatallow higher vacuumflow to overcome leak-age and for rapid evac-uation to ensure safehandling operations.Recommended for appl-ications which requirelifting heavy loads without deflection, Vaccon HeavyDuty Spring Levelers include a rigid mounting bracketfor a strong, solid connection to 1.5" [40mm] extrusions.

Adjustable, Fixed ExtensionShaft & Mounting Brackets

Adjustable, Fixed ExtensionShaft & Bracket is a rigid, non-moving rod that mounts to thetop, sides or bottom of 1.5"[40mm] extrusions. Once theshaft is adjusted to meet a spe-cific height requirement, thebracket is clamped into a fixedposition. Designed for flexiblemanufacturing operations, theFEB40 Series is easily repositioned by simply loosening2 collar screws and sliding the shaft up or down to meetthe new height requirements. For added adjustability,add an adjustable universal bracket to slide the FEB40left or right.

Vacuum Cup Swivel JointHandling curved surfaces iseasy with Vaccon’s new Vacuum Cup Swivel Joint.The CSJ3 swivel joints at-tach to a spring leveler andvacuum cup providing a full40º angular movement. Tocontrol the degree of swivel,simply tighten the collar nutlocated on top of the swiveljoint to restrict movement.Developed in conjunction with Vaccon spring levelers,the CSJ3 swivel joint assemblies feature exceptionallylarge flow paths to safely handle porous objects. Depending on height and tooling requirements, VacuumCup Swivel Joints are interchangeable with the VSL3,SLB40-3, and FEB40-3 Series spring levelers.
