Vaccines have taken down some of the most deadly diseases.

The population would have suffered greatly if the children continued to be diseased.

Populations Saved

The CDC, American Acadey of Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Physicians recommend 15 different vaccines against childhood illnesses.

FDA Regulations

More shots are received but the number of immunologic components has declined.

Parents are worried for the effects of the vaccines.

Some parents believe in beating diseases naturally.

They believe in children having high immune systems.

Arguments Against Vaccines

Pain and too many shots at once has turned parents away.

Parents believe they are keeping their children out of harm.

Education on Vaccines• If families were more educated on the

vaccines it would be helpful.• Although the autism study was publicly

refuted, some parents still choose to believe it.

Even with the ridiculous risks that have parents in fear have been proven wrong, they still feel apprehensive.

They worry before even having a chance to ask their pediatrician.

Vaccination is mandatory for schooling in most places.

Some states make exceptions.

The main exception is due to religious beliefs.

Exceptions

The Anti-Vaccination Society of America was founded in 1879.

They did not believe in vaccinations. The AVSA also did not believe in mandatory

vaccinations.

In 1902 there was a small pox outbreak and it was mandatory to be vaccinated.

Henning Jacobson refused to do so and was put on trial.

Cases Against Vaccines

Due to doctors like Jonas Salk and Edward Jenner, most people in the U.S. have not seen the diseases their children are being vaccinated for.

Not Exposed

A shocking 2% of Americans trusted the advice of celebrities before the advice of their doctors.

If parents were formally informed from their pediatricians, there wouldn’t be such a debate.

Non-Health Professionals

Even though there can be a negative tone towards vaccines, only 1 out of 5 parents weren't confident about the safety of childhood vaccines.

Despite the Backlash

Beneficial to health• Vaccinations for children are

beneficial to their health, the growing population, and is necessary by law.

Medicine has transformed due to the success of vaccines.

Dozens of diseases have been demolished of taken care of without a worry.

Today's medical advances have saved millions of lives.

Vaccines are recommended and given to children after careful review by the FDA, CDC, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Physicians.

All of the information you may need is always at your fingertips.

Doctors provide information constantly.

Information

Vaccination, especially in children, is one of the most controversial topics in medicine today.

Incorrectly informed people have put a negative point of view on vaccines.

Without vaccines many of our population wouldn’t be living today.
