V13 Runecrafting Guide to 99

This is my first guide in BS. I have made other guides on other servers and have been mod

there but this is my first here hope it is satisfactory. Plz be gentle with the criticism..!!

Introduction to Runecrafting

Runecrafting, often shortened to RC and / orRCing , is a skill allowing players to craft runesfor Magic spells at Runecrafting altars. Runecrafting is a time and money consuming skill.

Basics:

First thing you need to know is how to the abyss

Teleport to the skilling area

Talk to the Mage of Zamorak and select Yes for teleporting to the abyss.

Items needed

Rune essence (most important and 100% essential) Spirit Graahk Pouches (recommended but not compulsory) Spirit terrorbird pouches (same as above) Small, Medium,Large or Giant pouch ( highly recommended but not essential) Either a pick or an axe.

Converting to lunar magics is also useful as the teleport to the skilling area is easier.

1. Rune essenceThis can be obtained in mainly 3 ways.

One is by mining it yourself for which you need a pick. The location is given blow. A mining

level of 1 is required to mine essence. The second rock (brown) from the right is the rock for

rune essence.

The second way is to buy it from other players who mine them. The current price varies from

100k ea to 150k ea. For this, either use the forums or use the ::yell command to see if anyone is

selling.

The third way is to capture nature implings which give around 20-200 essence, the number beingrandom. This requires a hunting level of 58 is required.

2. Spirit graahk pouchesIn order to make and use these pouches, you require a summoning level of 57. These can be very

useful as they teleport a player to the abyss directly which saves time in the long run.

3. Spirit terror bird pouchesI will discuss this later on.

4. Pouches

Pouches are highly prized among runecrafters because they can nearly double the amount of

essence that can be carried per load (with all pouches being used, you can carry up to 54

essences in your inventory). Pouches can be used to take larger loads when mining pure essence.

Taking pouches to mine pure essence isn't required but is highly recommended for faster mining

and less loads.

There are 3 different kinds of pouches-

Small pouch holds 3 essence

Medium pouch holds 6 essence

Large pouch holds 9 essence

Giant pouch holds 12 essence

All the three can be obtained by killing monsters in the abyss.

5. A pickaxe or a hatchetThis is required to get into the inner circle of the abyss.

Getting started:

Level 1-5

One inventory of rune essence is enough to get you to level 5+. Craft air runes at the air altar in

the abyss.

Level 5-14

Two inventories (56 rune essence) of water runes at the water altar from the abyss are enough to

get you to level 14.

Level 14-20

Again, two inventories of rune essence crafted into fire runes at the fire altar will get you to level

20.

Level 20-40

Now, gaining levels becomes a bit monotonous. You will need_________ rune essence crafted

into body runes to get you to level 40. Repeat the teleport procedure and reach the level.

NOTE: DO NOT enter the CHAOS RIFT in the abyss as the AREA IS NULLED and you will

get a blank screen. You will need the assistance of a Mod/Admin to unjail you.

Level 40-99

This is when you will need your spirit terrorbird pouches. Teleport to home and bank all your

pouches as at this point of time (they tend to be a waste of time). Then fill your inventory with

rune essence and go north of the bank. Click on the altar to make astral runes and repeat this

process all the way to 99.

NOTE: DO NOT ENTER THE LAW, DEATH OR BLOOD RIFTS AS THEY ARE NULLED

AND WILL GET YOU A BLANK SCREEN. YOU WILL NEED THE ASSISTANCE OF A

MOD/ADMIN TO UNJAIL YOU.

The Nature Altar is not nulled but is balnk there is nothing in there.

Once you do this, you will get an awesome skill cape of achievement to show off to your

friends!!

Total Expenditure :

For level 1 to 20, yo will need

For level 20-40, you will need approximately 364 rune essence which is equal to 36M

For level 40-99, you will need 64,987 rune essence which is equal to almost 6.4B

If you wish to mine this amount of rune essence, it would give you around 13.5M exp which is

just enough to get you a mining cape as well!!!
