Problems: • Cheryl easily forgets the movie she wants to hire. . It’s hard for Cheryl to write movie name down when she is walking on the street . It takes a while for her to look for movie she is interested

User Story:

• Cheryl, She likes movie. She usually hires movies in store, instead of watching movies in cinema. She thinks it is more time-saving and flexible to hire movies. She doesn’t stream movies online, due to the slowness of internet. !

• She tends to remember the movie, which she comes across on the street and hire it later. Also, she takes a movie suggestion from friends and hire the movie. !

• If she don’t like the movie she noticed on the street, she will take some time to walk through the store and hire one anyway.

Solutions

• A easy way to record movie name on the way.• A information source to check out movie detail prior to hiring.

1st Iteration:

Cheryl loginCheryl adds items to watch list, mark is as watched , delete it and check the movie detail page via watch list

Solution Sketch:

Problems with the sketch:• Cheryl needs a fast way to take a note of a movie poster on the street.

• In this sketch, Typing in words is the only way to add item to watch list, which is not fast, and not convenient while Cheryl is walking.

!• Cheryl doesn’t really need to check the movie detail once she already

added the movie to watch list.Improvement:

• Add a camera function to take a image note on the way

Solution Sketch 1:

Problems with sketch:

• Cheryl takes movie recommendation from friends. In that case, Cheryl cannot take picture of the movie easily.

• Login page is not necessary in Cheryl’s case. It’s a personal app and there is no data & account binding is required.

Solution Sketch 2:

Feedback: •Cheryl can solve the main problem she is facing •The item adding process in watch list still have room to

improve.

Solution Sketch 3:

!Based on previous version, I altered the item adding process.

• press the add button at top-right of watch list page to access camera to take image note. • press and hold for 2-3 seconds to access the words note only, in order to add movie in

words formate only.

Conclusion:• Now, Cheryl can take an image note of the movie poster, when she is walking

on the street. • She also can take words note directly where taking picture is not possible. • She can take a look of movie news before she walked into movie store, in case

she don’t think the movie she took note of is appealing.
