    GENERATOR OPERATING PRINCIPLE1. Hydraulic reactor:

    The UVc generator inlet and outlet are connected to your water system.

    When the water passes through the chamber, it is subjected to UVc radiation, with no direct contact. The lamp is protected by a waterproof quartz tube.

    The water leaving the reactor is thus treated.

    2. Generator control:- electrical power unit supplied,- lamp operation indicator,- lamp life cycle monitoring.

    TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTIC- Power supply required: 230 V, 50 Hz + earth.- UVc lamp, low pressure Mercury Vapour (200 W).- Electronic ballasts.- Service pressure: 4 bars.- Max. test pressure: 10 bars.- Case in stainless 316 L.- Can be cleaned in-situ: 120°C (30 min).

    STANDARD INSTALLATION- Horizontal installation recommended (generator standing on

    legs).- Allow a minimum clear space of 1200 mm at the

    side of the generator, so that the lamp can be extracted.

    - A filter can be installed upstream of the generator, to limit the dirt deposit on the UVc generator (consult us).

    SIZING OF GENERATORCWTI specialists ensure that your system is properly sized for safe, effective and reliable operation.

    For the proper sizing of the UVc treatment, the following information is required:- treatment rate in m³/h,- permeability to UVc radiation at 254 nm, in %, for a defined

    distance through water,- source of water (underground water layer, source, runoff water,

    pre-treated water, sea water, etc.),- water pressure in system, in bars,- application,- bacteriological requirements,- Initial chloramine concentration.

    All these values are essential for the generator to be properly sized.

    MAINTENANCE- The UVc generator quartz sheath should be cleaned regularly

    - see the servicing/maintenance document.- The lamp must be changed regularly. This is essential for the

    generator to function properly.- If an upstream filter is installed, the cartridge must be changed

    annually.

    - Do not expose yourself to UVc radiation from the lamp.
