Problems associated with the old process include:◦ no advance notice for key departments◦ Not all departments aware of separation◦ No verification of signatures on out-processing checklist◦ Inadequate key control process◦ No mechanism to recover outstanding fees or university

property◦ Inconsistent termination of all accounts◦ Outdated separation forms

Separating employee required to walk a form to 5 locations to obtain signatures

At least 3 more departments wanted to be added

Launched on Friday, January 30, 2009

Improve method of collecting University property, securing network accounts, and resolving any financial obligations

Notify all key stakeholders (SNG) – 15 depts.

Use of internet & email – mass distribution

Updated forms (PDF)

Accept the resignation in writing (Template)
