Characteristics and field of use
UTP UP FX 504 is an agglomerated welding flux of the aluminate basic type designed for joiningand surfacing applications on unalloyed steels, stainless and heat resistant steels and Ni-basealloys. It has neutral metallurgical behaviour and provides excellent slag detachability in allapplications under direct or alternating current.

Properties
· Basicity grade (according to Boniszewski) Mol. %: 1,5
· Grain size 0,3-1,6 mm (Tyler: 10 x 48)
If stored properly the flux can be used without redrying directly from the drum. Flux that hasbecome moist should be redried for around 2h at 300-350 °C prior to use.
