    What it is. The main purpose of the RealEstate Education, Research, and RecoveryFund (the Fund) is to compensate members of

    the public who have been damaged by a realestate broker or real estate sales agents (theAgent) fraud, misrepresentation or deceitin a real estate transaction, and when theAgent cannot pay. You may be compensatedby the Fund if the Agent used fraud, misrep-resentation or deceit to take advantage of you.

    How much can you get. If you complywith the process and a court awards you com-pensation, you can expect to receive from theFund up to $15,000. Regardless of the num-ber of people seeking compensation(claimants) or parcels of real estate involvedin a transaction, the liability of the fund maynot exceed $15,000 for a single transactionand $50,000 for any one Agent.How it works. In order to receive a pay-ment, you must meet the requirements out-lined in Utah Code Ann. 61-2a.
