WIHOA:ChrisSmithconfirmedthatallplayoffgameswillhaveafourmanrefsystem.Heisschedulingthesegamessothereshouldnotbetoomanyissues.Hewilltrytonothavethesamerefsandpairingsformultiplegamesforteams,butthereisnoguarantee.WIHOAwillsendtwoofficialstoVernalfortheplayoffgameandVernalwillsupplytheothertwo.

knowsotheycanbeinvoicedappropriately.SomeaskedforastatementthatshowedthecreditsfortheAds,shewillgetthoseout.

Playoffannouncer:JonBasswouldliketoannounceplayoffgames.Hecouldnotdoall,butcoulddomanyandthefinals.Hewouldencouragecrowdparticipation.ShannonproposedthatwepayJona$550flatfeetoannouncethegames.BryanBoammadeamotiontoacceptthisproposal,Adamseconded,approvedbyall,motionpasses.

Playoffbanners:ShannonproposedthatwehavenewbannersmadeforUHSHplayoffsthatincludetwonewlargebanners,astheonesusedinpreviousyearshavedisappeared.AlsototaketheUHSHbannersfromwhenwehostednationalsandhavethemretrofittedtochangethedateandcoverthenationalhostlines.Thebidforthesebannersis$619.73.Jasonmadeamotiontoaccepttheproposal,ChrisWendtseconded,allapproved,motionpasses.

Schedule-PlayoffBrackets:Bracketsweresentoutbeforethemeeting,thesewillbeupdatedasneeded.Thefinaltwo“ifnecessary”gameswillbeplayedatthePeaksinProvo.Afterallplayoffgames,pleasetextfinalscorestoBrianMurrayandShannonWoodhallsothebracketscanbeupdated.Astrusteesweareresponsibletocollectthegateadmissionfortheplayoffgames.Allplayoffgamesare$2.00foranyoneoversix.JVplayerswhoarewearingtheirjerseysareadmittedforfree.Pleasestartcollectingadmissionatleastonehourbeforethestartofyourgame.Pleaseworkwiththeotherteamandtheteamsthatplaythegamesbeforeorafteryourteamtogetthegatecovered.

UAHA:Jasonreportedthatmoregirlsarestilljoiningthegirl’sleagueattheoval;pleasekeepencouragingfemaleplayerstojoin.TierplayoffswillbeMarch3-5.StateevaluationcampwillbeinearlyApril.Itwassuggestedthatplayersatevaluationcamp,needtohavethenotwearinganythingfromteamsenforced.Also,thatactualoutsideevaluatorsneedtobebroughtin,especiallyiftheystatesaystheyarebringinoutsideevaluators.

AllStarGame:Duetothisyear’sconfigurationofUHSH,withDivisionIandDivisionII,thecurrentP&PfortheAllStarGameswillnotwork.AproposalwasmadethataDivisionIvsDivisionIgameandaDivisionIIvsDivisionIIgamebeplayed.Thesewouldbetheonlytwogames,withallplayerswhoparticipatednolongerbeingeligibletoplayJV.Aftermuchdiscussion,ConniemadethemotionthatwereplacethecurrentNorthandSouthformatwithDivisionIandDivisionIIformat.ThisformatwouldincludeaDivisionIvsDivisionIgameandaDivisionIIvsDivisionIIgamewiththefinalgameallstarsbeingchosenfromthesegames.Oncethefinalgameallstarshavebeenselected,therewillbeablinddrawtodeterminethetwoteamsforthefinalall-stargame.Thoseplayers,whoparticipateinthisfinalall-stargameonMarch12,willthenbeineligibletoplayJVfortherestoftheirhighschoolyears.ThismotionwassecondedbyDana,andapprovedbyall,motionpasses.

Eligibility-PlayerswhoregisteredafterDec.1arenoteligibletoplayinplayoffs.Thoseplayersthatarenoteligiblehavebeennotified.

SelectTeams:Karlstatedthattheselectteamsneedmoregames.AnyteamsthatwouldliketoplayagainsttheselectteamspleasecontactKarlorShannon.Usuallytheselectteampaysfortherefs,andtheopposingteampaysfortheice.ThePittsburgteamwillbedecidedclosertotheshowcase.TheteamwillbedecidedbasedonWHOcango.ShannonwillpurchasetheplaneticketsforPittsburgsoonandthenamescanbeaddedwhentheteamischosen.

Disciplinary:ConnieinformedtheboardthatithadbeendiscoveredthatateamhadtwoplayersthathadbeenplayingsincethestartoftheseasonthathadnotberegisteredwithUHSHuntil12-21.The

trusteewasgiventhesame90daysuspensionasthetrusteeinasimilarsituationlastyear.Theplayersweresuspendedfortheremainedoftheseason.Karltookfullresponsibilityforthesituationandexplainedwhathadhappened.BothoftheplayershadgoneonlinetoUHSHtoregisterandhaddonetheUSAHockeyportion,butnotcompletedtheUHSHportion.Theyboththoughttheyhadcompletedtheregistration.Karlwasabletoaddtheplayerstotherosterbecausetheyhadbothbeenregisteredinpreviousyears.MuchwasdiscussedaboutonlyhavingBrianMurrayadplayersandthatastrusteesmanyhadaddedplayers.Theredoesnotseemtobeawaytotakeawaytheabilityfortrusteestoaddplayerswithouttakingawaytheabilitytomanagetheirownteampage.MattPruckafromParkCitysuggestedthattherearetwoissuestodiscuss1.Whattodowiththeplayers?2.Howtofixthesystemsothisdoesnothappenagain?Wecannotdobothtonight.Again,muchwasdiscussedabouttheintentoftheplayerswithnotregistering.Bothdidcompleteregistrationwithhoursoflearningtheyhadnotcompletedit.JeffmadethemotiontoallowtheseplayerstoplayallremainingBinghamgames,secondedbyMichael,twoabstained,allothersapproved,andmotionpasses.

Adamsuggestedthatthe“howtofixthesystem”beaddedtotheagendaatalaterdate.
