1-Technology Plan:-3-Vision and Mission Statement:• Gather information to understand students learning

styles and students needed skills.• Mesa School ensures effective integration of technology

in the curriculum. • In our class we will use electronic resources as a

powerful and compelling means for students to learn core subject and applied skills in relevant and rigorous ways.

• The use of technology must be in support of education and research and consistent with the educational objectives of the curriculum.

• The use of the Internet or Computer in the class will be providing equally between students.

7, 2013.

2-Stakeholder Description• Our Mesa Elementary School Technology

Committee under the supervision of the superintendent, met with California Technology Assistance Project director , school principal, administrator and representatives from business organizations, parents, and students, dedicated several meetings to review the requirements and deadlines for developing implementing and refining a plan in order to integrate technology in the curriculum to create strong electronic educational systems that support innovation teaching and learning, to provide appropriate staff development opportunities and to develop procedures to support this policy.

• Teachers have access to computers at any time. • All classrooms have printer.• All staff members have access to a fax.• All students have access to computers during the

school hours. c. District curricular goals to support plan:• Integrate different technological tools in teaching

students all skills. • Providing students with necessary knowledge,

experiences, and skills • provide them with the skills they need for future

carriers.• The plan will improving student academic achievement

in reading, language arts and mathematics.

using books and electronic databases.

Students will complete projects that include Internet research and electronic databases.

95% of school students will show proficiency in recognition of computer systems and ability to navigate through internet and software to increase learning.

All students will understand the use of technology, with regard to ethical use.

Every student will have at computer with full network and internet access. This includes the resource and special day classes.

100% of Mesa school teachers and staff will maintain and update student grades and assessments in the student information system, Power Teacher, on a regular basis.

By August 8, 2012, all mesa school teachers will have access to e-mail, telephones and cell phones.

6-Funding and Budget• Mesa school indicated continuing needs to

upgrade technology hardware and software to take full advantage of new technology, and to implement systematic equipment replacement procedures that are both fiscally realistic and responsive to the current needs of individual staff members. To replace technology may be determined by the quality and function of the products.

• Mesa school will replace computers once they become obsolete to maintain. Computers will be considered old-fashioned at an age of 5 years. Old computers will be sold to a reseller to help finance. Network wiring and infrastructure will be monitored and replaced by the school administration and the district on an as needed basis.

7-Monitoring and Evaluation

• Data will be collected from Students academic performance reports, research, class observations, Teachers, students, and Professional development evaluation reports.

• Administration will prepare reports every three month about Students academic achievement and technology use, and Teachers technology use in lesson plan, assessment and administrative work.

• Meeting with technology stakeholders will be held every month to monitor the progress of the technology plan.

8-Collaborative Strategies with Adult Literacy

Providers • Mesa school Offer “English as a Second

Language”/ESL and Diploma Courses/GED Preparation”.

• Technology is integrated within these classes and provides flexibility in the pace of completion of these courses for the individual student.

• These classes are computer based using appropriate programs such as Lexia.

• Mesa school technology committee members will meet with all staff including adult literacy providers to share information about our technology plan.

9- Effective, Researched-Based Methods and Strategies• The district has developed the following vision. Technology

use in the classroom can: • Be used as a tool for education to support learners in solving

problems, developing critical thinking skills, developing both oral and written communication skills, and working collaboratively on multi - disciplinary projects. Technology should help students become active, independent, life-long learners.

• Improve the technical and personal productivity skills of our site teachers and district administrators through professional development that will focus on integrating technology into the classroom curriculum and aligning the use of that technology with the state and district content standards.

• Improve how students access and retrieve electronic information through the use of the Library/Media Centers and computer labs. Achieve equitable access to the Internet and computers at every site while expanding the resources available to the students including: Internet, CD-ROM, scanners, digital cameras, on-line searching using such tools as ERIC or the Electronic Library.
