Open the bible from the Catalogue

• A search for New Oxford Annotated Bible … you may have to scroll
• Open the link, you will be prompted to sign in.
• The Ebsco interface will open:

Opening a “book” takes you by default to the introductory essay, scroll down to get to the text. Or open the expander and choose the last notes heading (Interpretation) and scroll from there.

Creating an Ebscohost signon
• This is not “authentication” – you need to use your Library signon to access the ebook.
• This provides an easy way to:• Bookmark in the text so you go quickly to the passages you are working with.
• Save your own notes, so you can work on your assignment as you read.
• Quickly retrieve other ebooks you are also using, via bookmarks.
• Organise your research – you can group bookmarks into groups which are meaningful for you.

Steps to create an Ebsco login
• Click on signin
• Use your google sign in if you can• If not create a sign in, confirm using the email …
• What does signing in allow you to do:• You can create notes as you read, effectively writing your essay as you go
• You can use notes to store pages of interest eg a map of Israel
• You can bookmark several books and save them in a named folder, effectively creating an easy access group of ebooks.
