Our SuDS Aim
- Local Flood Risk Management Strategy
- Objective 4 Reduce Runoff Rates – retrofit sustainable drainage to existing developments where opportunities exist, store flood waters in parks and other open
spaces during extreme flood events and apply natural flood management techniques
- We aim to achieve this through Normalising SuDS
Moore Brook catchment
•Area ~ 350 hectares
•8,000 residential properties
•300 misconnected properties

Firs Farm Wetlands – Community Engagement
- A culverted watercourse running through the site
- Development prevented due to flood risk
- An area which required rejuvenation
- A friends group in its infancy
- Since the development of the scheme ~
- A friends group which has become engaged and receptive to ideas
- Financial streams from Enfield, Thames Water, Environment Agency
and the GLA
- Thames 21 assisting in community engagement and water quality
testing
- Series of volunteer planting days
