Order doesn’t matter in + or X5 + 7 = 7 + 5 or 5 x 7 = 7 x 5

I can regroup addition or multiplication if I want or need to.(3 + 12 )+ 4 = 3 + (12 + 4) OR(3 x 12 ) x 4 = 3 x (12 x 8)

Summary:

Summary: A property is a basic principle of math that is always true for all numbers. One example is the commutative property of + and x. It tells me that order doesn’t matter when I +or x.
