If you are eligible to fill out the FAFSA do it early using previous year tax records if necessary.

(Required for need based awards)

Research scholarships continuously and prepare to apply well in advance. Review the full application before you complete it if possible.

Get to know your professors and ask for letters of recommendation from appropriate sources.

Scholarships for Engineering Students

• When the financial pressure is on….

Talk to advisors and be proactive about funding your

education.

If you must use loans borrow only what you need!

Inform yourself fully about what it will take to meet

your financial obligations when you graduate.

Do what you need to do to stay in school and get good

grades even if you must attend part time.

Is it worth it????

was $45,790 while that for S&E was $87,330

Those in Science and Engineering account for

only 4.8% of total U.S. employment.

Social Value of a College Education

Macro to Micro and Everything in between!

Higher levels of education for a larger and more diverse segment of the population can profoundly influence the economic, cultural, environmental and social future our world.

Education provides opportunities to directly improve quality of life for individuals, families and communities.

Better educated individuals live longer and enjoy better health.‘The Center for Disease Control reports that the average life expectancy for 25 year olds who earned a bachelors degree is almost nine years longer than those who did not have a high school diploma.’

Annual Report on Health in the United States, May 2012

Education is a Privilege which carries a social responsibility.

“Intelligence plus character--that is the goal of true education.”Martin Luther King, Jr.
