Businesses use computersto keep records, develop budgets and forecasts,prepare marketing documents, research and stayin contact with other employees and customers.Businesses should look at their operation andensure that they are using their computers to thefullest extent.
  • 3. The first computers used by businesses wereroom-filling behemoths that were so expensive,they could only be afforded by the largest andrichest companies. Today, even the smallestcompany has a computer perched on almostevery desk, and each one of those computers hasmany times the processing power of those old,early dinosaurs. Computers today have becomevitally important to every segment of businessoperations.
  • 4. Keep records Computer programs such as QuickBooks andother accounting programs allow businesses tokeep detailed records. These programs trackaccounts payable, accounts receivable and sales.They also provide an easy and quick way for abusiness to send out invoices to customers andhandle payroll functions. Back office productivityand accuracy can increase greatly when using anaccounting program.

When launching a new producta company can perform market research usingonline questionnaires and surveys.

Instead of travelling to ameeting attendees can join a meeting from theiroffice. Businesses can also use email and websites toadvertise their products and services.
