Unpack your DanaLock Take out the unit from the box and insert the batteries in your DanaLock.

Activating the batteries Your DanaLock comes with inserted batteries. You only have to activate the batteries.

DanaLock Circle: Remove the folio on top of the batteries. Push the touch button on the face plate, and see the DanaLock operate to make sure you’ve done this correctly.

DanaLock Square: insert the pin connector to the plug in the PCB, be sure not to damage the plug in the PCB.

Inserting new batteries DanaLock circle When inserting your batteries, make sure they are all pointing the right direction.

Remove the face plate by using the included screwdriver

Remove the battery holder

Insert the batteries - all batteries must point the + pole upwards as shown below:

Screw on the battery holder back on, using the included screwdriver.

DanaLock Square Remove the faceplate, pushing down the slide on the top of the DanaLock, using the screwdriver included

Insert the connector on the battery to the plug as shown below, be care full not to damage the connector, the insertion should run fairly smoothly:

Start operating your DanaLock Move your smartphone in the nearby of the Danalock, the Bluetooth Smart range should default be approximately 3 meters.

Download the DanaLock app: LINK

Open your DanaLock App.

Create a new user, with your personal information:

Scroll to the button and push “SEND”

Now the app will search for DanaLocks in the Bluetooth Smart range of the phone.

If you do not have any DanaLock in the proximity it will show a blank key chain.

If you do have DanaLocks already connected to your account, these will show up in your keychain.

They will be douched if they are out of connectivity. See next page.

The App will now search for new locks in the nearby, and you will be able to choose the unit you wish to install.

Press “Install” on the unit you wish to install

You will now have to name your unit, you can always change the name in the WEB interface.

Type the name in field “Name your lock” and press:

The app will tell it is communicating with your DanaLock.

You will hear a beeping sound confirming everything went well, and you will get confirmation:

If the DanaLock does not show up i your key chain, then go to the menu, in the top left corner and press “refresh keys”

Configuring the Danalock for your door To open setting swipe to the left on the DanaLock you wish to configure.

Now you see 3 options:

Press the tooth wheel

The Smartphone will now communicate with your DanaLock to get the user configuration currently in your DanaLock.

Remember you will have to stay i Bluetooth Smart proximity to configure your settings.

Know you have 3 settings options, push either to enter:

Mode: Powersaving - less torque - this will due for most locks

Normal: More torque - just give the extra edge

Direction: Which direction should the DanaLock operate when you press lock? Clockwise or counter clockwise

Turn degrees: How many degrees shall the DanaLock turn for locking and unlocked, you can put in any number you need.

Auto-Lock time: You can make the DanaLock auto lock when you have unlocked it. The number indicates after how many seconds the DanaLock shall lock e.g. 10 seconds.

Speed: How fast should the DanaLock operate? Be aware that turning up the speed will lower the torque.

Sound: Turn on and off the audio indicator

Battery settings: Only for DanaLock Circle

This option is to setup the battery being used and how the low the battery shall run before you get an alarm indication:

Choose type: “3.6 volt” When using original DanaLock Lithium Chloride CR123 batteries

“3.0 Volt” When Using regular CR123 Batteries, Be aware - When using standard batteries, always choose batteries with high capacity

Alarm: How low should the batteries go before you get an alarm - we recommend alarm round 30% to be sure to have the time to switch the batteries.

Press “SAVE” when finished, make sure communication is ok with the Danalock, you will return to your keychain, and you will get an audio indication that everything went well.

Bluetooth Smart settings:

This is advanced settings

Antenna: You can turn up the signal strength of the Bluetooth Smart module in your DanaLock, 1 is normal signal strength - 5 is max signal strength, Be aware - Turning up the signal strength will increase power consumption.

This can be useful if you have problems connecting to the DanaLock form the outside of your door.

Advertising: How often shall the Danalock wake up to look for a open or close command: 1 = 1 time/2 sec

2 = 1 time/1 sec

3 = 1 time/0,5 sec

4 = 1 time/0,250 sec

5 = 1 time/0,050 sec

When setting a low “Advertising” value, the power consumption of the DanaLock will go down.

Connection: No function, default value = 1

Scan: No function, default value = 5

Z-Wave DanaLock !Unpack your DanaLock Take out the unit from the box and insert the batteries in your DanaLock.

Activating the batteries Your DanaLock comes with inserted batteries. You only have to activate the batteries.

Start operating your DanaLock Move the Danalock in the nearby of your Vera Gateway approximately 1-2 meters.

The general Z-Wave range should be approximately 20 meters in use.

!Including the DanaLock to your Z-Wave network Put your gateway into inclusion mode.

Now include your DanaLock

DanaLock Circle: Touch the touch button in the middle of the face plate until you hear 2 beeps. The gateway and the DanaLock will now exchange security keys and set up the default user configuration.

DanaLock Square: Touch the touch button on the side of DanaLock until you hear 2 beeps. The gateway and the DanaLock will now exchange security keys and set up the default user configuration.

This may take longer then other Z-Wave devices, as this is a secure device, unlike a e.g. Z-Wave relay.

When finished the DanaLock will shop up on you web interface.

Use the web interface to make sure you are able to lock and unlock the DanaLock.

NOTE: the Pin ability in the device is NOT activated on the current DanaLock

When you have a combined DanaLock with both Bluetooth Smart and Z-Wave, be sure to set the time zone on your Z-Wave gateway. Otherwise the clock running in the DanaLock will be off, and the time stamped key you send will not work due to the unsynchronized clock.

To synchronize, simply set the time zone, then pres lock or unlock in your user interface. Be sure it is the timezone where the DanaLock is installed you use.

Now attach the Danalock to your door following the steps in the attachment guide.

Configuring the DanaLock for your door When the DanaLock is installed on your lock you will probably need to adjust the it

The main variables to adjust is:

- The time the lock is turning, Variable 1 and 2, to make sure that it locks the door completely, will you need it to turn longer or shorter then default

- Reverse the lock, Will you need the DanaLock to run clockwise or counter clockwise when pushing lock/unlock in UI5

- Is The DanaLock to operate a magnetic door strike or a magnetic door lock?

To set up these paremeters open the device _Doorlock (or what you have chosen to call the DanaLock.

Choose the tab “Device Options”

Press “Add configuration settings” to add values

Set the parameters you need.

First enter the value for the variable you want to change, 1-4

Then choose “1 byte dec” in the dropdown menu

Finally enter the desired value

When finished, just close the window and save.

Now the unit will reconfigure, this will take a minute or two, so please wait for this to finish.

!The variables indicates:

Variable 0 = Turning the DanaLock clockwise or counter clockwise.

Set the values to 1 if it should turn the opposite way.

!Variable 1 = The value indicates the timeframe specified below

DanaLock, the time the lock should be turning when you press unlock

DanaLock operating a electric door strike or magnetic door: The time the magnetic lock mechanism should be held when you press unlock

Variable 2 = The value indicates the timeframe specified below

DanaLock: The time the lock should be turning when you press lock

!Variable 3 = how much torque/power will you need? Less torque = lower power consumption

DanaLock: 1 = max torque

2 = average torque

3 = minimum toque, minimum power consumption.

!Variable 4 = Indicates what kind of lock you have in your door.

The parameter shall only be set if you want the DanaLock to operate a magnetic door lock or door strike, then you have to set this parameter to 3
