E-RETURN MODULE

E-Return module includes following functional activities.

A) Meter Reading

1) Display the list of generating sets for

the logged in consumer.

2) Consumer can update the generating

set information for the first time for

every generating sets.

3) Consumer can add perform

the activity for adding new/

changed meter.

4) Add Meter Reading for the

respective reading month.

B) Energy Usage Bifurcation

1) List the total Units generated by the

generating sets registered Under

Consumer for the billing month.

2) Consumer can add various

exemption in this module .

3) Net generated Unit will be calculated

after deducting exemptions.

4) Net unit generated can be bifurcated

to various months.

C) Generate ED Details

1) After Units are bifurcated Electricity

Duty will get calculate with respect

to every month for which units are

bifurcated.

2) User can print Electricity duty in

this module.

D) Reports

1) ED Payment Report.

2) Meter Reading Report

Welcome Screen

This screen will provide basic introduction of the system. This is welcome screen of the

website. From this screen user can also download help manual for more assistance in using

this website.

Login Screen

Above is the login screen from where user can enter into the website. For the first visit of the website user can login by entering his/her consumer ID and password provided by CED

officials and after he gets logged in he will be transferred to reset password screen.

Reset Password Screen

After consumers first login, he will be transferred to this screen to change his one time

password for further use according to him. After he changes his password a mail will be

generated and sent to his registered email address for informing him about his new

password.

Consumer Detail Screen

After changing consumer login password successfully he will get transferred to consumer

details page for his one time change in his details. After he changes his details and saves it

the page will get locked and he cannot update his details in future by himself. After saving

the consumers details a mail will be sent to his registered email address indicating his basic

information. Below is the screen layout for the same.

Above is the screen layout of the locked consumer details screen after consumer has

changed and saved his details first time.

Change Password Screen

From the above screen consumer can change his password any time he wants.

E-Return Screens

Above screen will display list of generating sets registered under the consumer’s name, he

can select any generating set to add meter details for respective GS. He can do so by

clicking on select button.

1. After selecting a GS control will be transferred to Generating Set information if there

is no information present about the set. Consumer will have to enter GS details and

verify the details properly because it will be one time facility for him.

2. After updating generating set information he has to enter meter for that GS if not

present. After entering meter details he should verify the details and save. Below

screen is for entering meter details.

3. After Meter details consumer can enter meter reading for respective month.

Following are validation on this page :

Previous reading should be less than current reading.

User should enter readings before saving it.

User has to enter readings to calculate units generated.

4. Below are few screens for same function.

5. On e-return screen when a GS will have meter reading for respective month, it will be

indicated by the row having colour green.

6. After entering reading details and saving it consumer can proceed for usage

bifurcation of units generated for respective months using either menu button named

Usage Bifurcation or by clicking button on e-return screen named Usage Bifurcation.

Usage Bifurcation Screens

Usage bifurcation contains following functionalities:

1. On the usage bifurcation screen list of all the generation sets and total units

generated by it is get displayed.

2. The Total unit will be displayed in (A).

3. Consumer can enter all types of exemptions over here. Auxiliary Unit will be

represented by (B1).

4. Export Energy Unit will be represented by (C1).

5. Other Exempted Unit will be represented by (B2).

6. Formula for calculating Net Chargeable Units will be: (A-(B1+B2+C)).

7. Second list on screen display months starting from month April of the financial year

consumer can bifurcate net chargeable units various months by using Unit bifurcation

link in the below list.

8. Red link displays month which does not contain any units and green colour indicates

months for which unit bifurcation has been done by the consumer.

9. First consumer will have to enter units in the list then he can go for month bifurcation.

10. After click on Unit Bifurcation Link following screen will get opened. The screen is for

bifurcation of entered units for that month for various nature of consumption area.

11. After calculated of Electricity Duty the month wise bifurcation functionality will get

locked for that billing month.

Generate ED Details Screen

Above Screen is for calculating electricity duty for the consumer for respective billing month.

It is one time facility for the billing month.

ED Payment Calculation Details Screen

Above screen will list out total ED Amount for the consumer for the respective billing month.

He can see detailed calculation either by clicking on print ED details or by clicking on Total

ED amount link button.

Challan Details Screen

1. Below screen is for entering challans for paying electricity duty by the consumer.

2. Consumer can search number of challans added by entering filter.
