    Installing the RouterConnect the ADSL Line and TelephoneAnRJ-11cablewillbeconnectedtothewallphonejackandtheline-endofthesplitter.ConnectanotherRJ-11phonecablefromthemodem-endofthesplittertotheportlabeledlineontherouter.AthirdRJ-11phonecablewillbeneededtoconnectthetelephonetothephone-endofthesplitter.

    NOTE:Seeconnectionsontheinstallationdiagram.Connect the PC to the Router

    UsetheEthernetcabletoconnectyourcomputerdirectlytotherouter.ConnectoneendoftheEthernetcabletooneoftheports

    Configuring Your Computer

    PriortoaccessingtherouterthroughtheLANport,notethe

    followingnecessaryconfigurations

    YourPCsTCP/IPaddress:192.168.1.__(thelastnumberisanynumberbetween2and254)

    TheroutersdefaultIPaddress:192.168.1.1

    Subnetmask:255.255.255.0

    Belowaretheproceduresforconfiguringyourcomputer.Follow

    theinstructionsfortheoperatingsystemthatyouareusing.Windows 20001. IntheWindowstaskbar,clickontheStartbuttonandpointtoSettings,ControlPanel,andNetworkandDial-upConnections(inthatorder).

    2. ClickonLocalAreaConnection.WhenyouhavetheLocalAreaConnectionStatuswindowopen,clickonProperties.

    3. Listedinthewindowaretheinstallednetworkcomponents.IfthelistincludesInternetProtocol(TCP/IP),thentheprotocolhasalreadybeenenabled,andyoucanskiptoStep10.

    4. IfInternetProtocol(TCP/IP)doesnotappearasaninstalledcomponent,thenclickonInstall.

    5. IntheSelectNetworkComponentTypewindow,clickon
