How to use CAD SCANNER

Follow steps 1 through 10 above. Detailed information about the steps is on the following page.

Step 11 is used only when you want to restart the exporting process after an unexpected shutdown.

Step 12 is used only when you purchase the product.

Click in the check box to include CAD data in subfolders as well as the main folder.

Click the “select folder” button. A dialog box will appear. Select the input folder where your CAD data is

located.

Click on the “select folder” button. A dialog box will appear. Select the output folder where pictures and reports should be stored.

Click the check box if you need to export a part(s) list.

Click the check box if you need to export a part sheet(s).

Select a part color for the exported part images.

Click in the check box if you wish to attach your company logo. Then, click on the “select file” button to

upload your company logo. It will appear on the top left of each part sheet .

Click in the check box if you wish to attach your company logo. Then, click on the “select file” button to

upload your company logo. It will appear on the top left of each part sheet .

The appearance of the selected color may be different due to the

influence of the computer’s light source.

Please refer to the color samples below.

Start the calculation by clicking the “Export” button. A part(s) list, part sheet(s) and images will be

generated.

Click the check box if you need to remove the lines such as the reference line to get zoomed-in part

images.

How to recover from an unexpected shutdown

Click the check box if you want to restart the exporting process after an unexpected shutdown.

The message below will appear when CAD SCANNER is launched after an unexpected shutdown .

If you want to change the recovery option on the CAD SCANNER interface:

You can still click the check box after answering No to the question above.

To restart the Exporting process using the log data : CHECK ON

New Exporting not using log data: CHECK OFF

CAD SCANNER always creates log data so that you can restart the exporting from the point at which CAD

SCANNER shut down. However, please note that newly-added data after the shutdown isn’t recognized.

When you click “Yes”, the check box is automatically checked.

How to update software subscription license

After you purchase the license, you will receive the license file through email. To update your software

subscription license, click on the hyperlink “ Update License File”. Select the license file that you received.

Expiration date on the bottom of the interface will be extended after selecting the file.

A trial version is available that expires in 30 days or after 30 files are exported.

In the Trial version, the exported images include CAD SCANNER logos.

２．UNEXPECTED

Error Messages

As output logs, Report.csv is created in the same folder as the images. If there is an errors,

you will see the error message in the Report.csv file:

１．CAN'T READ

Failure to read the CAD file.

Failure to calculate the CAD image.

３．CAN'T CREATE

Failure to create the file because there is a file with the same name in the output folder.
