    Bugaboo Bee, including locking devices,

    brake, the harness (when child is in the

    seat) and the wrist strap attached to the

    handlebar (see this user guide or

    additional inormation). Check andmaintain all saety eatures requently.

    For any child unable to maintain an

    unaided sitting position the backrestshould only be used in the most

    reclined position.

    When adjusting the Bugaboo Bee,

    the child should be clear o moving

    A childs saety is your responsibility.

    A child should never be let unattended.

    Any load attached to the handlebar

    aects the stability o the pushchair.

    attach the swivel wheels. Its quick and simple.Slot each swivel wheel onto the connection

    rod at each end o each o the Bugaboo Bees

    closed. Then simply lit the handlebar to

    Folding the Bugaboo Bee is easy; the internal spring relieves

    any eort. The instructions below show you how to do old the

    Bugaboo Bee when the seat is acing the world.

    WARNINGCare must be taken when olding and

    unolding the Bugaboo Bee to prevent

    Slide the secondarylock to the right while

    you pull the backrest adjustment lock all the

    way upwards. This will allow you to move

    the backrest all the way orward so it is in

    line with the handlebar.

    Hold the secondary lock on the

    handlebar down while liting the olding

    locks upwards. This will release the olding

    mechanism and the Bugaboo Bee will do

    the hard work or you (see page 16 and 17).

    To release the brake, push the upper part

    o the brake pedal downwards. To apply the

    brake, irmly press the lower part o the pedal

    downwards, but dont orce it.

    WARNINGThe brake is a parking brake only.

    Apply the brake whenever you park

    the Bugaboo Bee.

    Do not apply the parking brake while theBugaboo Bee is moving. Only apply the

    parking brake when the Bugaboo Bee

    is stationary. The brake pedal must be

    in its lowest position to lock.

    at dierent rates. So the Bugaboo Bee is easily adaptable.

    Whatever the age o your child, theres a posture thats just right or them.

    On the back o the Bugaboo backrest is an

    adjustment lock. To release the backrest

    youll need to squeeze the lock while you

    change the position. The Bugaboo Bee has

    our positions, rom upright to reclining,

    to suit your childs mood or activity.

    the top o a childs shoulders or slightly higher.

    them in place at the ront o the backrest.

    Twist the toggles so they eed through

    the holes.

    Reinsert the toggles at the preerred height

    and click them into place to secure.

    you get the right tightness or your childs

    size. For a smaller child, the I setting on

    The Bugaboo Bee comes with an adjustable sun

    canopy allowing privacy while your child has

    a well-deserved nap, or oering protection on

    sunny or windy days.

    NOTEThe sun canopy will t the Bugaboo Bee

    or a child with a maximum bottom-to-head length

    o 51 cm/20.1 inches.

    To adjust the sun canopy, pull at the wire

    rame. There are three positions: closed (1),

    halway open (2) or ully open (3).

    The Bugaboo Bee wasnt designed just or your babys comort,

    but yours too. The handlebar is adjustable so its the right height,

    or whoever is pushing.

    Open the clips on both sides o

    the handlebar.

    Adjust the handlebar to your preerred

    height by pulling up or pushing down.

    Fasten the clips to secure in place.

    using the wrist strap

    The wrist strap must be worn at all times, but especially

    on uncertain or rugged terrain and on an incline.

    Gravel or uneven suraces can be tough to travel over with swivel wheels,

    especially when pushing the Bugaboo Bee with heavy shopping in the

    underseat basket. To help relieve this problem the Bugaboo Bees ront

    wheels can be locked.

    Line up the swivel wheels so that the

    kneecaps are acing orwards.

    Above each o the Bugaboo Bees ront

    kneecaps is a white wheel lock. Squeezeeach one and slide it upwards until they

    click. This will lock the wheels and they will

    no longer swivel.

    To unlock, squeeze and slide the wheel

    locks down.

    turning the seat unit

    You know what makes your child happy - either acing you or watching

    the world go by. You can turn the seat to suit their mood.

    Apply the brake by pushing rmly down

    on the pedal.

    Using the adjustment lock on the back

    o the backrest, place the backrest in its

    ully reclined position (see adjusting thebackrest on page 21).

    NOTE Even i the seat unit o your Bugaboo Bee

    is acing you to begin with (rather than acing the

    world as shown in the illustrations) the instructions

    given to turn the seat unit are the same.

    WARNINGDo not remove the seat unit rom the

    chassis while your child is in the seat unit.

    8Turn the seat unit around and slide the pinsinto the runners on the inside o the rame.

    Press the seat unit onto the rame until you

    hear a click on both sides.

    When the seat is securely in place the red

    indicators on the seat unit release lock will

    not be visible. Double check the seat unit is

    attached to the chassis by gently tugging

    the seat unit.

    10 Click the seat in place and adjust thebackrest to a suitable position (see adjusting

    the seat on page 20 and adjusting the

    backrest on page 21).

    Push in the arm release button and reattach

    each arm by inserting the end into the socket.

    the backrest adjustment lock and slot each

    one into the correct position.

    attaching the rain cover

    Come rain or shine, the Bugaboo Bee can protect a child in any

    setting. The snug-tting and ully ventilated rain cover is sure to keep

    the child dry, warm and comortable.

    Fully extend the Bugaboo Bee sun canopy.

    Place the rain cover on the head-end o

    the backrest.

    Pull the rain cover over the sun canopy so

    that the Bugaboo label on the rain cover

    lines up with the Bugaboo label on the

    Bugaboo Bee. It should t snugly.

    The rain cover has an elastic loop and ahook on each side. Fasten these together

    around the Bugaboo Bee chassis to secure

    the rain cover in place.

    Attach the touch asteners around the chassis

    just above the wheels or extra security.

    NOTE The rain cover will it the Bugaboo Bee or

    a child with a maximum bottom-to-head length

    o 51cm/20.1 inches.

    Adjust the touch astener in the middle o

    the rain cover to adapt the cover to the

    chosen seat position.

    By attaching the touch asteners you create

    an air vent.

    removing the underseat basket

    I youre going out on an adventure, you may not want to take

    the underseat basket with you.

    to remove the underseat basket:

    Undo the touch asteners along the sides

    o the net.

    Unhook the touch asteners at both ends

    o the net. The Bugaboo Bee is now ree

    rom the net.

    to reattach the underseat basket:

    Make sure that the abric label is positioned

    at the side o the ootrest o the Bugaboo Bee.

    Secure the touch asteners along the sides

    o the Bugaboo Bee.

    Feed the touch asteners through the holes

    on both ends.3

    a maximum weight o 4 kg (8.8 lbs).

    Exceeding this amount may create an

    Check the saety o the Bugaboo Bee beore

    each use. Ensure that the seat abric, the brake

    and the saety belts are all working properly,

    the handlebar is locked and that the seat is tted

    correctly to the chassis.

    Check to see i the Bugaboo Bee is damaged.

    You should ensure that any damaged or worn

    parts are repaired immediately (see warnings

    on pages 8-10).

    To ensure complete saety or your child do not

    use the Bugaboo Bee until any damaged or worn

    parts have been repaired or replaced.

    The Bugaboo Bee seat unit (no. 580200) should

    only be used with the Bugaboo Bee chassis

    (no. 50100). Do not use Bugaboo Bee parts orcomponents with any non-approved pushchair,

    other device or any other Bugaboo product.

    Do not use the Bugaboo Bee near open fames

    or other sources o heat. Avoid exposing the

    Bugaboo Bee to extreme temperatures.

    The Bugaboo Bee is not resistant to saltwater.

    Ater a ew tough months on the

    streets the Bugaboo Bee may

    begin to get a bit grubby.

    Weve made the Bugaboo Bee abric detachable and

    machine washable. When washing, dont orget:

    maximum temperature 30oC/85oF (cold wash)

    do not use bleach

    do not tumble dry

    do not iron

    do not dry clean

    maintenance tips

    Clean the Bugaboo Bee chassis and wheels with

    a sot towel and lukewarm water.

    Use a sot brush to clean sand rom themechanisms and sliding tubes o the rame.

    Use silicon spray in the mechanisms o the backrest

    release/adjustment and brakes to ensure that the

    parts remain in good working order.

    removing the sun canopy

    to remove the sun canopy:

    You may nd it easier to remove the seat unitbeore removing and reattaching the sun canopy.

    See turning the seat unit on page 29 or

    instructions on how to do this.

    Undo the eight buttons around the edge

    o the backrest.

    Unhook the three sets o elastic loops

    ound both sides o the Bugaboo Bee.

    Pull the sun canopy, with the metal wire

    rame still attached, away rom the

    Bugaboo Bee.

    To wash the sun canopy, slide the metal

    wire rame out o the sun canopy

    (see cleaning on page 38).

    to reattach the sun canopy:

    To ensure that the bend on the wire is acingthe correct direction, each wire has a marking

    on one end. Feed the wire through the sun

    canopy, marking end rst, starting on the

    side with the Bugaboo label.

    Reattach the metal wire rame to the

    Bugaboo Bee chassis.

    Hook the three sets o elastic loops to

    both sides o the seat.

    Fasten the sun canopy over the eight

    buttons on the backrest.

    Remove the sun canopy (see removing thesun canopy on page 39).

    Remove the shoulder straps o the harness

    (see harness on page 22).

    Undo the seat cover rom the eight buttons

    around the edge o the backrest and

    release the elastic loops rom their clips

    underneath the seat.

    Unhook the two sets o elastic loops on

    the backrest and the seat.

    Feed the harness through the holes on the

    seat cover to completely remove the coverrom the Bugaboo Bee.

    Dont store the Bugaboo Bee in direct sunlight or

    when its wet as this may discolour or damage it.

    Slide the seat cover over the seat.

    Pull the harness through the seat cover holes.

    Fasten the seat cover over the eight buttons

    on the backrest.

    Reattach the two sets o elastic loops to the

    seat and backrest.

    Attach the sun canopy as beore.

    WARNINGEnsure that the seat cover is securely

    astened at all points beore use.

    warranty

    As the manuacturer, Bugaboo International BV , which has its

    principal place o business in Amsterdam (hereinater: Bugaboo)

    supplies the [Bugaboo Bee] (hereinater: product) under warranty,

    subject to the ollowing conditions:

    1. The warranty period is 24 months, rom the date o purchase.

    The warranty period shall never be extended, even in the event o

    repairs being made.

    2. This guarantee is valid all over the world, except in the United

    States o America and Canada.

    3. The warranty provides a right to repair and specically not to a

    products exchange or return.

    4. Bugaboo shall bear the expense and risk o transport rom and tothe retailer (hereinater: the retailer) where you purchased the

    product, provided the repair is covered by warranty.

    5. The warranty may only be invoked i you provide Bugaboo with

    the ollowing, along with the deective product:

    - a copy o the dated receipt o purchase, and

    - a clear description o the complaints.

    6. The warranty is not transerable and may thereore only be

    invoked by the rst owner.

    7. The warranty does not aect any statutory rights you may have,or example the right to hold the retailer accountable or deects.

    - I you have made or arranged or modications or repairs to be

    made without written permission rst having been received rom

    Bugaboo or the retailer.

    - Deects resulting rom neglect or an accident and/or rom any use

    or maintenance other than that indicated in the user guide.

    - I the serial number has been damaged or removed.

    - Damage to the product caused by normal wear.

    The product is covered by a 24-month warranty rom the date o

    purchase. In the event o a deect, you are requested to rst contact
