This Certificate aims to provide participants with the tools necessary to confront current challenges, with a focus on designing and developing adapted and flexible strategies. It also helps participants, in their individual working situation, to reflect on their current practice and to improve it, as they learn.
HDL DESIGNING STRATEGIES AND PROJECTS FOR HUMANITARIAN ACTIONCAS
7-MONTHS COURSE - 15 ECTS CREDITS
The Distance Learning CAS Designing Strategies and Projects for Humanitarian Action corresponds to 15 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) and the degree is jointly awarded by the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. A COURSE DESIGNED FOR :• Humanitarian middle or senior managers• Currently employed as project manager or above functions • With at least 2-3 years of experiences as project manager or above functions
GENERAL OBJECTIVESAt the end of the CAS, participants will have developed the relevant competencies to design and adapt humanitarian strategies and projects in line with the specificities of each context. They will be able to provide coherent, flexible and creative humanitarian responses taking into account ethical issues and context prerogatives.
More specifically they will be able to:• Analyze contexts and crises
• Frame adequate institutional and operational strategies
• Design and manage adapted, creative,flexible and result-based humanitarian programmes/projects
• Evaluate and critically review the implementation of institutional and operational strategies
