INTRODUCTION

Today’s world marred by wars and the social greed, is caused mostly by the ignorant following or being forced to elect their so-called leaders. No sooner that these people are installed, they follow their own selfish agendas for more power and more wealth. True, in some cases, there is a need for a strong hand to manage the masses, which can get easily out of hand. And yet, there are devoted leaders who care more about the people than themselves. Unfortunately, there are few in between, those who can impose an orderly economic growth together with a stimulating vision for the future.

Despite times changing continuously, much of history remains as it was revealing its secrets; it still has a tendency to repeat itself, mostly due to those convoluting them, subject to their own twisted interpretation subservient to their personal interests. True, there are situations too late to do anything about it, but many more can be extricated from the plague of ignorance and crooked politicks.

We also have seen time and time again that Humanity prevails mostly when individuals show good intentions with a sense of humor. Things that could not be touched seriously in the past for so-called “obvious reasons”, could and can be touched today, or referred to, via a satirical comedy of manners, paraphrasing the dead-serious issues of our times.

Mirroring ourselves via such outrageously unique situations vis-à-vis our own inherited universal Behavioral Patterns Phenomena, should present a delightful entertaining content with magnet-like attraction, given the wealth of awkward thinking and incidents experienced globally, sometimes by the very same people.

Hence, the African Union’s creation of the UNITED STATES OF AFRICA FOREIGN LEGION (USAFL) aka African Foreign Legion seems a practical endeavor. As a dedicated military special force, its aim is to reflect current happenings given the great need to help the African people from more mayhem and genocide. Reported also by a delightful bunch of goofy Journalist/Photo-Reporting team should provide an extra magnetic bit of fresh air vis-à-vis currently structured action-based endeavors copying old-style theatrical formulas.

The USAFL’s unique format also offers a Consortium of Cameos to both top Actors and Directors, thus not imposing long-term commitments that may conflict with their other Film/TV projects. Another feature is an invite suggesting their selection of sequence they would like to do to be incorporated by our Head Writer.

PREMISE / SYNOPSIS

THE YEAR 2015 - A JOURNALIST and a PHOTO-REPORTER/ CAMERAMAN are caught by the changes resulting from the African countries’ many years of turmoil. Their semi-comprehensive reporting and analysis drive everybody crazy, as the African leaders came to realize that the only way out of the economic and political rot now prevailing, was to consolidate and form something similar to the American and European Constitutions principles, free from special interests, bribing and other impositions.

Hence, the Africans elected and formed a Central Federal-type Government – the next stage to the current African Union - with Anayogu Tumba (Morgan Freeman, Denny Clover) as President and a legislative body with a special touch: the Senate and, the House of Representatives, much like the British Parliament.

As for the Judiciary, their amalgamation of Tribal, Roman and Commonwealth Laws, was expected to be tailored and updated due to the various colonial influences they had during the years before becoming independent. Perhaps more like the Native American Indians’ Tribal Laws with

their scope of ethical justice. Their slogan: “Unity and success through Diversity!”

But, like in any democratic free society, there are always those radical groups that want to preserve their unlawful dominating powers. They take advantage of the uneducated gangs and others and are a menace to the fragile new federal democracy, thus threatening the relationship with the European Union, the United States and even China. More so, they anger those who fought so hard at the U.N. to make this happen, by festering terrorism that the world could not stand for anymore.

Faced with such volatile emergency situation, the Central Federal Government’s Special Intelligence Commission’s head, former general Moses

Ukonu (Denny Heysburt, Samuel Jackson, Edward James Olmos) calls upon their Ambassador to the U.N. (Denzel Washington, James Earl Jones,). They have to decide that, with things getting out of hand, the time has come to take drastic actions and as a result, form a very special unit, much like the historically tough French Foreign Legion.

They labeled it as the United States of Africa Foreign Legion or the African Foreign Legion to be formed and composed by three generations (maybe four) of spirited, patriotic and tough guys and girls, led by a creative consortium of seasoned Special Forces and Security specialists from around the world...

THE MEN: Djumon Hounson, Omar Sy, Samuel Jackson, George Clooney, Chris Rock, Don Chead, Ice Cube, Van Diesel, Nick Nolte, Danny DeVito, Jean Reno, Antonio Banderas, Leguizamo, Adam Beach, Samo Hung, Jackie Chan… etc.

THE WOMEN: Queen Lateefa, Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, Michelle Rodriguez, Thandie Newton, Charlize Theron, Zhang Ziyi, Lucy Liu …etc!

Their mission is to interact worldwide with Legendary Leaders - individuals and organizations - dedicated to maintain and guard the world peace even via out of the box - type Programs for economic prosperity, as well as present themselves as good role models to all levels of society around the world.

But first, the guerilla warfare and the ongoing genocide led by rebels and extremists needs to be stopped and if not through fire arms, then through comedic pranks and other ridiculous embarrassing situation that, finally, make the rebels realize the waste and loss of life going on in the name of WHAT? An intense Co-Educational

Entertainment-type Program is initiated by the African Foreign Legionnaires much to the distress of ultra radical individuals, theocrats, etc.

Upon advice from their Ambassadors, it is decided to recruit those who also studied in both East and West, but also certain sport-figures or teams, to work undercover. To accomplish this, they recruit first: Oku Barundi (James Foxx, Will Smith) known for his Strategic International Commercial & Other Intelligence affairs mingling and punishing the unlawful. He recruits as his Brothers & Sisters of Arms those mischievous creative teams he could rely on, mostly like those in the past French Foreign Legion, Mission Impossible, A-Team, Special Forces and other such mavericks we saw in “Mash”, the likes of which few can match:

The “Wiseman” The “Magician”The “Guru”The “Dreamer”The “Clairvoyant” The “Insider” The “Witch”The “Kid” The “Deliverer” The “Sheriff”The “Princess”The “Joker”

…and other prominent characters whose actions – scripted or improvised - are full of deadly humor, brains and some muscle.

On the other side of the spectrum, the Mafia-like unscrupulous “bad-guys” are part of a global consortium controlled by a mastermind chess player genius with bad genes (Sinbad, Chris Rock, Watanabe, Jet Li, Andi Garcia ) with a vicious interpretation of the world. He profits from the disorderly, uneducated – gangs, corporate and governments, which unites them based on the simple goals of satisfying primary individual greed and pleasure, including terrorist acts to make money at the expense of everybody else’s.

What they do not know is that certain paranormal forces with their own separate agenda are also mingling in the affairs of both sides. Ultimately, realizing what the true reality was, contact is made with the good forces, with which they combine to obliterate the bad ones. They, ultimately succeed, except for small quasi-terrorist pockets that managed to hide underground.

It is the tenth anniversary of the United States of Africa and its African Foreign Legion is being praised and decorated for services beyond the call of duty. No, they will not be dismembered! On the contrary, the African Foreign Legion and its volunteers are used in the War On Ignorance as a model to be multiplied globally to assist other democratic countries to achieve top security and freedom from local or foreign terrorists, thus preventing possible global social chaos via deadly humor!

Given the wealth of outrageously unique stories continuing to surface from Africa, it was suggested that the UNITED STATES OF AFRICA FOREIGN LEGION format lends itself to a TV Franchise

capability like A.K.A. (spoof on ALIAS), or other successful intensified comedic-action zany situations like M.A.S.H. in the tradition of Laurel & Hardy in the French Foreign Legion! After all, there are quite a number of USAFL Files that remain yet unresolved by INTERPOL and the current global Spy Agencies.

NOTE: The above premise was tested in over 40 countries and proved its commercial viability based on current realities

that lend to its format as a satirical comedy of manners motion picture, and/or a TV Action/Comedy Series and franchise, to be performed by a global ensemble of top

Stars.

Most of the interviewed Hollywood and global top Actors, including those mentioned above, reacted positively to

possible participation when the time comes.
